The AKC breed standard for the head:

Head
Broad, strong with heavy brow ridges. Heavy wrinkling to be severely faulted; however a single fold extending from above the eyes down to the corner of the mouth acceptable at maturity. A correct head and expression is essential to the breed. Expression: Noble, intelligent, watchful and aloof. Eyes: Very expressive, medium size, any shade of brown......deep-set, well apart, almond-shaped, and slightly slanting, with tightly fitting eye rims at maturity......Skull: Broad and large, with strongly defined occiput. Broad, flat back skull. Prominent, bony brow ridges. Stop: Moderately defined, made to appear well defined by presence of prominent brow ridges. Muzzle: Broad, well filled and square when viewed from all sides.

Technically Aslan's heavier browridge MIGHT be more technically correct, but since neither dog is mature its hard to judge for real.

Seeing him squeeze his big butt up on your end table & coffee table, just makes me laugh. Then in about 15 minutes when I think about it again, I laugh again. :)

Thank you Ruth for this little diary of the show, it was interesting. I hope to show my CC one day, but have never done it. This will help me to remember everyone's had a first time!

All 3 Aslan, Athena and Apollo are ridiculously good looking dogs!

Not sure if you answered this already but what did the breeder think? That is if you sent the picture. ;)

Him on the end table? I didn't send her that particular photo, but I've sent her previous ones of him on there and the coffee table. She says thats a TM for you (and that he's spoiled, but thats not a bad thing lol)!

They are, and their sister Anna (aka Sunshine) is an even paler gold (and heavier sable) than Aslan, and just as lovely. I swear I had a picture of her that her owner sent me, but of course now I can't find it. Oh well. Susie says the whole litter turned into stunning dogs. Considering their parents thats not really a surprise, but still.

The official stacked photo from Friday.

One of his front feet is turned out, but his breeder says thats fairly normal for these guys when they've not yet filled out through the chest. Otherwise it turned out to be a pretty decent stack.

The profile picture was taken just over a year ago. Its amazing how much change there has been in the last year. It was also taken outside in natural sunlight, no flash, vs indoor with artificial lights and the like. The different lighting changes his colors dramatically too.
