Omg guys simmer down, I don't think neutering will fix behavioral issues, and I didn't put my last EM to sleep either, I love a good debate and pick subjects to see who you are, and you guys were easy to get a rise out of of lol, and im not going to put my CC to sleep either, but before I was going to ask for anyone's advice on this forum I wanted to know what kind of advice Im going to get and what kind of people I would be dealing with. I've had mastiff's my whole life and worry about what's happening to the breed. Wanted my hope restored, that there are intelligent, responsible and helpful owners out there.....not sure that was accomplished...

Otherwise known as trolling...

So instead of reading previous posts to get an idea of how the members here work you decided to go trolling instead? Nice.....winderfull way to make an entrance, I'm sure we all think ever so highly of you now....

Okay not sure what happened since the last time I was on to the thread there are comments missing.......:(.... Update: I took Alyssa to the dr today and the doc determined that the injury was in fact not a bite. She only has one set of marks and those are the marks that are in the picture I posted. He said that if it was a bite then she would have two sets of marks on her arm. So I actually got him to write a statement saying that the injury was not infact a bite. (thinking this would give Diesel the get of jail card). So we left the dr office and I called the animal control officer and told him what the doc had said and that he had even put it in writing...... He tells me it doesnt matter rather it was or wasnt a bite, the injury broke this skin so Diesel must stay in doggy jail for the ten days. I was at that point ticked off to no end!
So I took Alyssa and we made a trip to see Diesel in doggy jail, I asked how he had been and the shelter worker said he was kinda being a pain. I guess when they went to clean his cage he wouldnt go outside so they could shut the door so they could clean the cage. They said that he was biting at the door of the cage as well and growling and barking at them. I told the worker well NO CRAP he is going to do that! 1. He is in a strange place and doesnt know what is going on! 2. He has no room to run and work off his energy and 3. He DOESNT WANT TO BE IN THERE N SHOULDNT BE, and not to mention he is trying to find a way out! and 4. HE IS PROTECTIVE AND DOES NOT KNOW YOU! Of course he is going to be barking and growling at you and biting on the cage. They said they sprayed his paws with water to get him to go outside so they could shut the door that leads outside (to clean the inside of the cage) and it didnt do anything he just lifted his paw and stood there! WELL HELLO, DIESEL LOVES WATER AND WILL PLAY IN THE GARDEN HOSE IF HE IS ALLOWED of course he isnt going to just run outside DUH!!!! He thinks you are playing with him with the hose! Anyways..... while we (the girls) n I were there he seemed to be in good spirits, he was excited to see us that is for sure! However when we left we tried to sneak out and he saw us and started barking and whining. :( Alyssa asked me if we could come back after dark and cut the outside cage n bust him out, and I told her if we did that she would be busting me out of jail..... her response was if we bust Diesel out of doggy jail he can help me bust you out of jail!:D LMAO oh the logic of children!.....<br>Anyways we are down to 8 days and we will continue to update on the situation :) Cant wait to free him from Doggy Jail!

Keep a very close eye on things at the doggy jail and make a journal of every event they mention and anything you notice. Keep in contact as much as you can so that if they run into a problem you can be informed and come and aid them if he gets difficult. Did they allow you to take him out for a potty break?

Unfortunetly alot of places look at it that way. The dog broke the skin, there for quarintine. To be fair, a rabid dog doesn't have to bite to pass on rabies, just get its saliva into a claw wound.

Glad your daughter's doing ok!

I am writing everything down that way when he is free and the trainer comes I can tell her what has been going on since we last spoke. I told them how to command him to sit and things of that nature thinking it will help him stay calm while in there, but I know that doesnt mean they are going to do it they way we do it with him...... And no they dont allow me to take him out of the cage. He is stuck in there and I feel horrible about it!

Not trolling to see if I was going to get helpful, encouraging feedback or not. Besides I wanted to know how you felt about specific issues such as euthanizing as a solution to behavioral problems, and spaying and neutering, more about opinions on breeding those with behavioral problems. But more than that, I wanted to see how I would be treated. That's trolling??? Finding out who is a good person and who is hateful?? Maybe it wasn't the best way to approach you or maybe you should be disappointed in yourselves and the next time someone comes on here with bad advice or misguided ideas you will be more helpful, not cuss them and tell them they don't need this breed. I thought you were here to help. That's what I was trying see, call it whatever you like.

If you wanted to know our opinions, you could have just asked our opinions instead of being deceitful. In my opinion you are just back tracking to justify your actions and make yourself feel better. I started all of this and I can promise you I wasn't hateful, I was just telling you that you were misguided and basically wrong trying to push neutering. It is easy for you to try to defend yourself now because you went and deleted all of your comments. We, as well educated, loving and knowledgeable dog owners stuck up for what we knew to be right and you came back accusing us of knowing nothing.
I am done with you. I have better things to waste my time on.

P.S. Amanda, sorry to hear that they wouldn't let your dog out of doggy jail. Hopefully the quarantine goes smoothly and he can be back home with you and your family soon. Sending happy thoughts your way.

That is exactly what the ACO said is that he could have licked his paw and then scratched her, and if he "had" rabies then they would have been transferred from saliva to paw and from paw to injury...... N I can understand that I really do, but his shots are all good.... They could have just let me quarantine him at home but NO our city is BROKE and going to try to make a dollar anyway they can! (opps did i just say that, yep i sure did) lol

Posting something misleading with the intent to get a certain response is trolling.

004.jpgThis is Diesel in the cage at the shelter in the background you can see the door that they open and close that allows him outside. The blanket was fresh, and had been changed from yesterday. The orange thing under the blanket is my shirt that I took him. I would be pissy to and biting at the door trying to get out if I was that big and stuck in that small of an area when I didnt understand or know what the heck was going on!!

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I'm hatefull. The others are pretty nice. So you make up stories(cause lie sounds hateful) just to see what others will respond? If I'm not mistaken, yea thats the very definition of a troll.
