We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Favorite Corso out there?

Gargoyles, CC's have the look of Gargoyles. Just flat out impressive. Magnificent, but so scary! They are one dog you wouldn't really wanna run up to and hug on the streets lol

Haha, our surgeon at MSU called our little girl his little gargoyle - lol! It still makes us laugh. We say she looks like the ghost buster dogs. I prefer the breeders that are getting back to their roots. Our first CC was purchased early 2000's and her look was WAY different than the boxer types we see so readily advertised now. Bring back the true CC I say!

Pictures do not do him justice. In person he is something else, with an amazing temperament.
I too am a bit biased when it comes to him, he is Aurora's littermate GCH Achoo del' Agreste CGC TDI
he is a big boy, around 28.5-29 inches and a lowball guess of 145-150lbs lean and muscular and can move like there is no tomorrow. I would have tried to sneak him into the truck but his owner (8 year old girl) was keeping a close eye on him.
Was very cool to see this little girl boss around this massive dog and he never once even considered disobeying :D

That's hilarious. Little kids boss our miniature girl around all the time. She LOVES kids and follows them around tirelessly. They walk her, rub her belly and tell her to sit. It's really cute to watch little kids boss around this 'bully breed'.

That dog looks exactly like Sophie when she is playing "Not Today" (reference Game of Thrones). If you don't own a corso this is completely creepy scary. If you own a corso you can see that she is scoping things out appropriately. Beautiful girl. I hope my Sophie muscles up like this.

@ Kelly, there is bite sport training clubs Nation wide, including a great all breed club in Vancouver that has worked with CC. It involves a lot of determination, work and Dedication but the bond built with your dog is worth it.
It should not be a liability with a stable dog but more the opposite. The training and control is quite phenomenal.
Key word is stable dog.

As for type variance in the CC... I have to disagree with it just based on age of breed.
Look at the dogs in the 90's and prior, some amazing animals... Then not that long ago the Boxer influence is easily seen. In Europe dogs with retracted jaws, pinched nostrils (in standard the CC should have wide open nostrils), round eyes, mono convergence started winning. Breeders started breeding to that, the FCI standard changed to allow 1/4" undershot to what was once tight reverse scissor. Looking at the standard changes in the 343 over just 20 years is scary. The standard has promoted the BM Corso, I believe to differentiate from the Neo. Creating a small boned, jumbo frenchie.
Supposedly some breeders in Italy had 2 different pups, the BM crosses that they would sell to Americans and the CC that they would keep. Looking at some of the dogs they look nothing like the CC.
The Americans were adding their own ingredients to the mix, Modern Neo, Rottie, Dane... You can see the influences looking at the different lines.
Thankfully now it seems there is a resergence of the Mastino or "flour" in most kennels. With the return of Vito Indiveri and more of the old timers speaking out the breed is beginning to return to what it was, thankfully. Hopefully it stays and continues.
Here is a link to one of my fav males in Italy.

He is out of the kennel that Aurora's dad is from. An old school family who have continued breeding over generations to the dogs in their area.
Ohohoh nice shot Achille, sorry if I answer this old ass thread..But the mother of my Zoe is CASTRIGNANO'S ALICE aka Nelly, direct sister of Achille..Castrignano does serious thing, nice bud but not the best in my zone

Very cool! My female is out of Black :) her dam is Betty Re Manfredi. Achilles and your girls sire so I guess that would make her your girls aunt. I have also met 2 pups from Ania's litter, she too is a litter mate of Achille's. I am partial to Castrigano's lines and dogs. Grandpa Tuco is by far one of my all time ever favorites!

We are relatives :p yes achille and ania are both uncle and aunt of my girl ,black you mean Nerone or Black I (one is son of tuco the.other is father of tuco if I dont go wrong) Tuco was outstanding..I live in foggia,30 km from Manfredonia where both Re Manfredi and Massimo Castrignano have dogs :) I don't like re manfredi's dogs very much..Too much "modern"
Anyway those are huge dogs even out of "standards "..Alice is 69 cm at the shoulder ahahah :) i should have a photo of her..If i find i post her :)

It would be Nerone aka Black lol. Betty is out of Tigra and Duik so not as modern as some. Black (father of Tuco) is also on her pedigree. Tigra was a dog I liked very much.
