Oh man! We're crossing all of our fingers, toes, paws, tails and saying prayers for Franklin!

...Beyond scary!

Thanks everyone. :) Still no more throwing up but he's laying here next to me and his tummy is making some loud, funky noises! I'm waiting for one giant fart that will wipe us all out. :scared2:

He just threw up again. Bright yellow bile. If he's throwing up bile because he's too hungry, but not supposed to feed him, what do i do?

We aren't big meat eaters so I don't have any ground beef and I'm out of rice. Since I have to walk over a mile to get to the store, I'd rather give him something I have here instead of making him wait another hour.

fish broth should be fine, save the meat for a bit till it looks like he's starting to keep things down.

I am not trying to be rude or mean but Franklin needs to see a vet, like yesterday. I think I saw someone on here offering a ride.....Please take him to be seen before something happens.

I do have some herbal tea. Thanks for the link lizzy. :)

I gave him the fish broth at around 9:30 last night. He was fine until 12:30 when he threw it up. Then he was up again at around 3 throwing up. For some reason he has to get me when he needs to throw up...no matter what time of the day or night it is and the fact that he threw up on my bed didn't help things. I got to bed about 1, got up with him at 3, then got up again at 6:30. I'm exhausted and he's exhausted.

I guess the good news is that his diarrhea hasn't gotten any worse.

I gave him two ice cubes and filled the bottom of his water bowl so he could drink. When his stomach is feeling better, he's very thirsty and starving. But I know it's only a matter of time before it comes back up.

His gums are still moist and pink and the skin on his neck still snaps back into place so he's at least retaining some of the water I've been giving him.

I'm not being rude either but unfortunately I'm going to have to agree here. I would not give him anything else food wise until he sees the vet. It kind of sounds like he might have pancreatitis, which if that's the case he needs to see the vet ASAP. I understand completely the lack of money & a ride but what happened with the care credit? Did you try applying? I know the emergency clinic off 114 in Grapevine will accept care credit. I'm sure the other emergency clinics & maybe even some vet clinics (like VCA) will accept it also. I have a feeling that since the home remedies are clearly not working, it's going to keep progressing & I know how upsetting it would be to you & everyone here if anything would happen to him.

Please take him to the vet, pancreatitis is a serious illness and can cause death not just by dehydration but by organ failure. Wherever ever you take him ask them to push the car credit app through, it oftens helps when the Vet applies on your behalf.

Flowers gums were still pink and her skin was snapping back when she was severely dehydrated in May with pancreatitis. She was doing the same things as Franklin. are his gum dry?sticky?

the vets told me that if I had waited until morning she would have not made it.
