Another time my brother took a guy into our back yard to look at our fence. My Rott stayed by my brothers side in between the two of them. The guy pointed out something and his hand was close to my brothers head. My Rott jumped up and snapped right below his arm simultaneously as the man pointed. The guy pulled away and my brother just put his hand on Judah's back and was like its ok Judah and my Rott was chill. My brother saw the whole thing and swears Judah missed on purpose, but was more like saying get back from my master. Another time I had a friend over who was fresh out of jail. My Rott went up to him and sat next to him and started stairing at him. My boy flexed at him and my rott lunged back and put his mouth around his arm, but didnt bite down. My boy started petting him and said I aint messing with this dog, hes real, and my dog let go like "just letting you know Im down for whatever". Dog was super smart and read people like books.

Now Im sure a fila would of torn dudes arm off at that point, but if my boy would have moved agreesively from there it would of. But that stop of aggression was a great show of smarts in my opinion. Like human smarts not dog smarts. Definately can do the damage, but never makes a mistake by doing unessasary damage. But he was right there always ready to do it though. Best guard dog and smart enough to not get me in any trouble with accidental bites. Thats what i WANT.

I love the SOP ive been looking at the very minimal stuff about then on online for a little while they seem very nice solid dogs.... to bad there are no breeders in the US

You are the first on this forum who said SOP(It's an acronym that we Serbs use) which in translation means SDD.I'm glad you like the breed, and if you are interested in something else related to SDD just ask and I'll try to answer you in detail everything that interests you.

I know exactly what you mean.I had a rottweiler 1991-2001 had a great guard skills.Therefore, the Rottweiler and participated in the creation of S.D.D(Sop).Thank you for having shared with us yours experiences.

This standard is ideal to Serbian Defence Dog should look like. The standards were written down all the characteristics that SOP should have.


It's perfection in real life do not exist, because each dog, and the greatest champion has a flaw.


This standard should be a sign that breeders to educate better and fairer SOP.






GENERAL APPEARANCE: Dog of the Serbian defensive stalwart dog, neither heavy nor light, the occurrence of large, strong bones. It is highly usable pas.Srpski defensive dog is a hardy dog ​​who is not bothered by weather conditions. They are very brave.


CHARACTER: Serbian defensive dog is unsurpassed guardian of person and property and a good family dog. Must be very loyal master and distrustful of strangers (strangers).
