Last night my pup was constantly puking with severe dhearea. It was so bad, that he was walking and pooing at the same time. He puked all his food out exactly the way he had eaten it. He was puking constantly with 30 second intervals. Watching him was heart breaking to say the least. It was around 3 in the morning when I realized that something was really wrong, within minutes he had become very dehydrated, constant drooling from the nose and mouth, he could barely stand. I called the hospital and they called my dogs vet who was on call; we did some x-rays and found that his intestines are full with fluids because of a infection. Forcefully holding him down flipping him over wasn't pleasant.....HE is on I.V right now cause he can't eat solid food. They took some blood and sent it to the lab to see if its pancreatitis or parvo. My dog has had all his shots but apparently you can still contract parvo even with the shot, there is a slight chance. I can't imagine what he must be going through being only 5 months old getting touched and grabbed by strangers, in a place unknown all alone, sitting in a closed tight cell with a cone wrapped around your neck, nobody from his pack around...all alone. He's been protected all his life by me And my dog bowzer who's very possessive of him. To go through this.... I have a feeling his OJERIZA is going to go to a whole new level once he gets through this.
