When to switch my puppy to adult doggy food

Hello to all,
I have a quick question. I currently have a 10 week old DDB pup and I would like to know when to switch him to adult food. I have heard the general rule is 6 months, but with mastiffs it is different due to their growth spurts. I am currently feeding him bil jac for large breeds 2 cups, 3 times a day.

Thank you,

There are loads of differentopinions here. Some folks say dont bother with puppy food, some say otherwise, some raw feed and others dont. The way I did it with my two was fed large breed puppy food until 9 months old, changed to junior food until 18 months old and then on to adult. At the end of the day you have to do what you feel comfortable with.

Yep, I'm with the all life stages crew. I fed Mira one bag of Craptastic large breed puppy, then switched to Earthborn Holistics.

Hello Sadie's mom:)
That is what I've heard many ppl do. I'm considering changing him at 4 months as well.
Thank you for your reply

Thank you for all the replies, I will consider everyone's feedback. I have heard the majority change their mastiff pups to adult food before 6 months. I will talk to his vet to make a healthy decision.
Thank you,

There's is very little difference besides price, when you compare most puppy formulas to adult formulas, hence the reasoning behind not needing a puppy formula.

I would feed your pup a high quality dog food that doesn't have any age restrictions. I feed my DDB's Natures Domain (salmon meal) from Costco and supplement with raw or wet.
