Top U.S. Boerbel Breeders

I agree, and I like that a lot. This is one of the reasons I am taking a step back to look at these different breeders now. Seems many of them are just pig farmers. They breed dogs they like stick the male back in his cage, welp the bitch and cage everyone back up and sell them off. Skip a cycle and do it again until the bitch is so worn down she loses bone density and muscle mass and looks like an old sway back mule that has been worked too hard. In all honesty I have seen Back Yard Breeders with a better code of ethics than some of these so called top breeders. The BYB had a family dog, breeds her with a friends male or his own male, welps the pups in the back bedroom sells off most if not all the pups then might do it again next year is they recover from the stress of the fist litter.

Yes, I really appreciate the fact that her dogs are clearly a part of her family. I know the term "breeding stock" gets tossed around. In Wilby's case though, I don't get the sense that her dogs are viewed as "stock" in any way, shape or form.

I like that Centurion seems to work some of their dogs and have gotten titles. It only looks like one or two though.

If you want to see a great trained Boerboel do a google search for Centurion Evangeline or Centurion Lina (same dog) Check out her videos. Oh and this is Jade's sister Littermate.

I'll have to when I get home. Silly work computers have lots of things blocked, plus there is no sound.

HAHAHAHA I'm sure one day they will catch on to the fact that I browse the mastiff forum/facebook while I'm on shift and it will soon be blocked, too.

I'm not too worried. As long as I stay off the remote desktop I think I'm good. Plus, I might be able to spin this into being somehow work related. hehehe

Wilby's Echo will be going into heat soon *fingers crossed*. She's not too big (120-ish pounds), is very athletic and has lots of drive. She's beautiful to boot.

Were Revelation, Copperhead, and Proffer on the recommended or not recommended list? I thought Proffer was good and Mike was recommending them, but Revelation has a black and white Spitsvuur listed.

I would not buy a dog from Revelation. I personally don't like the bloodlines they have in their breeding program (spitsvuur) and from the looks of things, iPod should never have been bred due to his elbow scores, but is being used in their breeding program anyway. That in itself leads me to believe that their only agenda is to make money and not produce the best dogs possible.

This answers the question I was going to ask perfectly. Thanks Mike and QY10... I live in KS. Do you really like the KS breeder? It sounds like there are some other excellent breeders mentioned here, but I feel it is a big advantage to visit the kennel, see the parents, and the puppies. If you were me would you just go with the KS breeder? Thanks all. BTW I've been reading posts for awhile as a non member but joined today for help identifying the most highly respected breeders of BB's. I was aware of the issue with black BB's likely having Neo's, GD's, or lab blood.

I am currently reading some old forum posts regarding the black dogs and their origins. Very enlightening reading.

Do you have the links? I would like to give them a browse sometimes. :) Those debates always get so heated. Its like a Jerry Springer episode in print.

QY10, Echo is related to my Boy. Rayden and Tori I believe is Echo's grandparents. Rayden is my boys father. Raydar and Tigra I believe is Echo's parents and Raydar and Panzer are half siblings. I think that is the jist of things ha ha.
