Depending on your cell, alot of the higher end phones have REALLY nice cameras on them, they're just not as fexible when it comes to settings and focal points. You can still get some really nice photos though....

MM, I use an app on my phone that helps control the settings AFTER I've taken the pic. But I'm sure there's other apps you can buy that will aid while you're taking the pic

Because, I am always missing the great shots of my dogs and end up with a blurred picture or one of his ass, I tried this app called " fast camera"-I end up deleting most but because it takes so many shots per second, I actually will come up with several that are really good! Just thought I'd mention it since the subject is photography!

A friend had a point and shoot camera and it had a burst setting that would do the same thing, it took i think 50 pics in like 3 seconds , she got some good action shots using it but the only down side is deleting the other ones you dont want lol.

Beautiful! I love this thread already! I just bought a Sony Nex-6 this past February and am having a ball on figuring out how to use it. Not quite as technical as a full DSLR, which would be way too much for me.

I bought a NEX-7 last August. Having a lot of fun with it.

Changsha Notes, I looked at your shots again and I love how you use the depth of field. The flower and the bridge is an awesome shot and the flower itself. Are you a professional photog?

Ruth just wanted to say thanks for the tips for the meteor shower. I'm hoping its clear enough we've been muggy and humid. Plus even though I live out in the country people still find the need to have a fricken streetlight.....

Crossing fingers for you! It was clear enough last night I was able to see at least a few shooting over head. Going to go out tonight and see if I have better luck than last time I tried.....
