It's that time again. What is your resolution for 2014?
Mine is to get healthier. My BF% is 42.6, way too high. I haven't decided yet how I'm going to workout but I need to do something. I've got 97 days until my next checkin.

I always use weight loss as my New Years resolution...I still have yet to get down to my goal weight. I gained a little bit of weight over thanksgiving but having the flu & no desire to eat in fear of puking has made me lose 3 lbs in just 1-2 days. I haven't weighed myself since I went to the dr yesterday so it may be more than that now. Tamiflu makes me really nauseous :(

So weight loss & to stand up for myself a little more. I typically allow people to treat me as a door mat. Trying to stop doing that.

Lose weight... again... which means, logging all foods & calories into myfitnesspal, tracking steps with my fitbit and getting at least 8,000 a day (Denna will like that... it will mean longer and more frequent walks!), and visiting the gym more for tennis and yoga.

That, and get back to my business plan at work!

How did you do it?

Thank you Deb.
First, I had to make up mind that I was ready to quit. I quit cold turkey in June 2010. The first week is the toughest. I gained about 20-25 lbs. :( I became addicted to sugar rather than nicotine. I quit caffeine a month ago.

I tried one of those non-smoking drugs and I was sick as a dog on them. I tried that 5 years ago.

Cold turkey is the best way but it requires a LOT of willpower to not run to the store and buy a pack of cigs.

After I had stopped for a week, I ran to the store and bought a pack. I lit one up and took one drag and threw up and had the worse headache. The drugs in cigs messes with our body so bad that it will cause you to become very ill if you smoke again. That pack of cigs remained in my freezer for 2 years. I finally gave them away.

Now when I smell cig smoke, I get a sick feeling.
