Mooshi's Mummy
Well-Known Member
Hello all –
Its been a whilesince I have updated or posted any pics of ‘the kids’ so thought I would take amoment to share. Really these are forour new TM members to have a look at as they show Mooshi before and after sheblew her coat, she is now my bald baby and her tail, OMG her tail is so wispyright now it breaks my heart LOL.
As for your off lead questions that pop up now and again Ihave also included a picture of Mooshi on one of our off lead walks, just toshow you that it can be done, it takes tonnes and tonnes of work and will neverbe 100% but is there a dog out there that is a 100% at anything? Maybe so but I doubt it’s a TM, unless ofcourse you include chomping on anything made of wood.
A good example of Mooshi’s off lead: last night hubby and Itook the mutts on a walk we haven’t done in some time, it’s a country path thatwinds up farmers fields on both sides, one side has fenced in live stock andthe other side is crops. We usually walkabout ¾ of the way up the path and then cut on to the fields towards a littlewoods at the end, cut through the woods and take the path back which is what wedid last night. I know that sometimesthere are horses with riders along this path but I have never seen them in theevening UNTIL LAST NIGHT. We had justcome to the end of the last field where it meets the little woods and all of asudden from around the corner comes a horse and rider. OH SH1T was the first thing that came to mindas Mooshi was off lead. The horse came upon us, the horsereared, which of course made me think OS again, the good news is though themoment I called Mooshi, in my high, squeaky, isn’t mummy fun voice she camepouncing over with a great big doggy smile on her face. Almost saying hey mom did you see that reallybig dog over there? She didn’t bark atthe horse, she didn’t run up to it, she stopped for about 5 seconds to have alook at it at a distance of about 10ft, I called her THIS WAY, I started to hop, skip and jump along the field in the opposite direction of the horse and riderand Moo followed, very happily running behind me through the long grass whichis her most favourite part of the walk…..I think it tickles her belly.
The one thing I didn’t do was panic and chase after Mooshiyelling at her that would have made her want to go towards the horse and riderfor sure. Rather I have learnt that withher if she thinks I am the best thing since toast and peanut butter then shewill 9 times out of 10 follow me and my silliness. This doesn’t work with my Akita and he is definitelyan on lead dog but with Moo its what works.
And finally here is a new picture of my handsome boy Boo BooBear.
OH a note for Raechie….I got my pay rise!!!
