Boston Marathon, any members there?

I would also like to point out how stupid people are that do this kind of stuff. What is the purpose? To scare people? Yeah, I'm pretty afraid of being in crowded places now, but more than anything I am sad, angry and proud of the people who came together to help the injured. These horrible acts tend to unite more than divide and in the end you have a large, united mob of people ready to beat down your ass. People from all sorts of backgrounds came together to help the injured, and as a country I can say that pretty much all of us are united in the sense that we want to see this offender brought to justice for this horrible act. Well Mr.Terrorist guy, you blew off a couple of bombs, killed innocent people, injured many more and now you have an entire country with hundreds of millions of citizens, along with hundreds of thousands of people from other countries, ready to completely destroy you. Not a good life decision in my opinion.

My sympathies for these people and for those affected around the USA, hope the perpetrators are caught and punished as severely as possible!

There was discussion on CNN last night that the timing was weird too. The BIG name athletes finish the race in about 2 hours. Thats pretty much standard, and so all the media and the HUGE HUGE crowds are at the finish line at that time to watch them. By the time the explosions went off the crowds were down to casual onlookers and people with family running and the media numbers were way down too. The elite runners were out of there by 1pm at the latest.

I agree Ruth, it just seemed a little off for a terrorist attack. This makes me believe that it was an individual rather than a terrorist organization. Hopefully it was his/her first attack and hopefully last.
