So Heres my complaint,My male corso is registered Akc fss.well I contacted them to get the full reg paper work.they tell me there is a problem down his ped one dog doesn't have a registration number.if this is a problem why didn't they point it out when I originally sent the paperwork in almost 2 yrs ago.they had no problem taking my money then.the ICCF didn't have an issue with it either.needles to say I feel like choking someone...:mad:

It sounds like the Akc has become like the british kennel club, which now exists only to support itself and has no regard for dog owners and only a limited amount for the dogs.

If it is a well known dog that you are sure was probably registered they might be willing to look it up but the dog's registered name and match it up for you. Some of the ICCF paper work didn't all have registration paper work if it was done a while ago so the AKC in some cases has had to go back and try to match up some of the papers for dogs that didn't have all the numbers on the paper work.

Hopefully that is the case and they could just match your dog up for you and then be able to make it a full registration for your big guy.

Not all Corso have a 3 or 4 generation pedigree. As a new breed, some were given stauts by having an FCI evaluator go over the dog, certify it as a Corso and grant a first generation status.
If you look at the pedigree database there are MANY unkowns.
