Hi all I'm new to the forum and sadly today my brother was sadly put to sleep.
I'm not only posting as RIP thread but also as someone who needs a little guidence so to speak.
Kaymen was like a brother to me, he'd been in my life 7/8 year and today my parents took him to the vets and hadn't returned with him, I actually feel a wreck.
I just need some guidance that what has happened was the right thing for him and they've not made a mistake and took him out of my life.
Basically 1 weeks ago, whilst being walked Kaymen had his first ever seizure randomly which lasted around 4 minutes... 3 days later he'd had 2 in the same day again at random both again lasting around about 4 minutes. We'd rang the vets and they ssid to monitor his behaviour, which we did he seemed fine always happy and jolly, ate and drank as normal but then last night, he has 9 seizures 40 minutes in between each one and it killed me inside to see him having them, my parents were away and I cant drive I couldn't get him to the vets so I stayed woth him all through the night/early hours of the morning till they got home and finally took hik to the vets, were in the car he'd had another one but it was bad, the vet had said he slipping into a coma and its not fair for him to be having to deal with these seizures, where the decision was then made to be out to sleep right there in the car as he couldnt be moved in the frame of mind and state he was in.
I need to know please was the right choice made, im so lost right now.
R.I.P Kaymen, never to be forgotten
