Thank you Raechiemay. Awesome we are not, we have so many flaws( I just don't post those. LOL). For a nasty, old, foul mouth, lesbian, every once in a while I get something right. :)

Yeah!!! So excited! Perhaps some baby gates that they can smell each other and such but not get to each other, slow intros with the ladies (males tend to be nicer so she might be able to meet Cane sooner, speaking from a home full of bitches ;) their owner included). Also might try the satin ball recipe to slowly put some weight on her. I agree with Ruth, percautionary worming of everyone for the next bit just in case they happen to get into some of her poop would be good I think. I am so excited for you and can't wait to see this girl when she is feeling better!

PS unflavored Pedilyte worked much better than flavoured here, I was a sticky mess with the orange one  damn bitches! :p

Congratulations! Thank you for taking on this girl, so deserving of a good life!

I find that the crated dog feels very vulnerable inside the crate, sometimes super territorial (even when you first get them) so I'd not bring the dogs to meet her while she's crated. I like the baby gate idea. Please keep us posted and I can't wait to see her fill out! :)

Thank you everyone!!! I needed the encouragement. I woke up with a rescue hangover this morning. LOL I'm like what the hell did I just do. Our pack is so good and balanced I can't believe I'm going to put another one in the mix. BUT, ya'll saw the condition this poor girl is in.

Thank god for Debra, she works her ass off, so I can play furnanny. She encourages me in every step and has the faith that we can do this.

Your right Mary. I don't think Cane is really going to give a shit. He knows he is my heart dog and I know he has my back. We have something very special but it doesn't demand a lot of attention.

My little bitch Ziva is not going to be to happy. She still needs a lot of reassurance that she is loved and is in her forever home. She is not going to take this lightly. Trying to find a balance is going to be the biggest challenge. I need to still let her be the needy little diva without allowing her to be jealous of the new pup and taking it out on her.

Geez, I'm frigging over thinking this!!!!

Breathe girl, breathe. You know what you are doing, you have done it before with Ziva. You don't know whats really going to be until it is...and you will and can deal with it and make it work. It may need no work whatsoever, it may need tonnes but either way we are all here for you every step of the way. You can do this!

Thanks Moo! Another reason I took this girl on is I knew I would have the support and help of this forum. Ya'll rock.

Shon and I got into a mini debate not too long ago. As to what was more important. Directing and getting traffic to the forum or the core group of people of the forum.

Sorry, Shon. I still stand by my position. It is the people.

The people are what makes the forum. You can direct in traffic all you want, but if that core isn't there to maintain the new folks won't stay....

Don't forget to have the energy and the mindset that this new addition is good for your family, and expect the others to accept her just like you do. Your own assertive attitude will go a LONG way to helping everyone get balanced again. The other dogs need to respect your decision and accept it, and they will if you require their acceptance.

(this is big talk and sounds good, but I know it isn't as easy as that. It has worked for us, though!)

AB I can't wait to see more pictures of this poor girl. I can't wait for the before and after photos just like Ziva.

You are so right, Liz! Luckily, my inner bitch lives on the surface. LOL

Then you'll have no problems! You GO! I'm very excited but I also know the "rescue hangover" feeling. I've never regretted it, and it is an exciting time.

I am so happy for you and her. When i saw the pics last night it broke my heart. I dont know you very well angelbear but from all your post that I have read I know you are a caring person and your furbabies mean the world. So this little girl has found a loving home and has been dealt a shitty hand to start but now she will feel the hand of love instead of the hand of hate. Thank you
