Just Hours Old

17 days old. They're walking, standing when they pee @ poop and starting to play with each other. Lots of little barks, growls and even one howl. They're also starting to recognize us when we come into the room and rush up to the side of the whelping box.

They are gorgeous.
DalCielo CC If you dont mind I have a question how much do they weight at this point? Just curiuos if mine are in the right range. Vet saided they were small at birth and I just want to make sure they are growing ok. I know you cant really compare different dogs but it would give me a ball park area. Thanks

This was a litter six. The largest/smallest - Birth 1lb 9oz/1lb 3oz - 1st week 3lb 2oz/2lb 4oz - 2nd week 4lb 13oz/3lb 15oz - 18 days 6lb 3oz/5lb 1oz. I hope this helps.

They are absolutely precious!!! Love the one with the blue collar the best. I know it is a lot of work to have to take care of puppies but you must be having a blast, too, right? :)

We love it! This is a great age, they spend much of their time asleep but are alert enough to mob you when you're in the box with them. They're 100% on mothers milk so mom still does most of the caretaking. In another week we'll start weaning and then most of the feeding and all the cleanup will be on us.

Thanks everyone for the comments.

I applaud you, the pups are gorgeous but raising them is a task I'm sure! Something that I wouldn't ever want to take on, people love my olde English bulldogge and where trying to get me to stud him out. I shut that down, for one he is just about to turn 9 months not mature yet, hasn't finished growing to even see his full confirmation and would need health testing. I just got him neutered, some people just think about money but it would be way too hard to even find a bully breeder that health tests and has an app and approval for potential owners. I'd be worried to death where the pups would go. I bought him and Vedi for companion purposes and that's what they'll stay. But I commend responsible breeders that spend so much time with the puppies, teaching, learning their temperaments, socializing, and finding great homes!

Puppies first venture into the great outdoors @ 21 days. A little exploring and then mama opened the milk bar which was followed by little napping in the sunshine.
