I need an impossibly amazing Dog (Cane Corso, who are the best breeders?)

Simply stated, I need the most amazing Cane Corso to ever be bred.

why?

I am a disabled person, and I am looking to own a cane corso as my next Service Dog. I have done tons of research on several breeds and I want a corso.

In my research I've found a lot of seemingly 'great' kennels, but I want other opinions. What Cane Corso breeder do you know of that breeds exceptional Corsi every time? Do you know of any breeders who breed Corsi that have therapy dog certification or obedience rewards?

thanks for your help!

You rock MARY!

I'm sorry but I don't know enough about the Cane Corso to comment. I wish you luck in finding your service dog!

Thanks :) There are more out there but I am familiar with that kennel. About time Cane Corso I think has one that is being trained and there are a couple others but you have to be careful with a corso as a service dog as they tend to protect their owners well and that can mean trouble if EMTs or someone needs to get to you.

Yep, having Fila's, we worry about having to call out EMS. I'm at home all day by myself, if I ever needed them I would have to either be able to make it outside and pray that Cane doesn't go through the window(which he has) or call Debra and hope that the 45 minute drive home is quicker than usual. There is not a room or a crate in this house that will hold Cane if he really wants out.

I have a Castleguard Cane Corso and she has a great temperament. Shauna (the breeder ) is very helpfull and im sure if you contact her she will give u information regarding service dogs etc.

Thanks for the recs guys! I contacted About Time and they seemed REALLY great. I've seen firehorse and Castleguard, I'll shoot them some emails.

What are your thoughts on Roman Cane Corso? I understand they're pretty prestigious and were one of the first to have Corsi in the US, but they are fairly pricey.

will you be training the dog yourself? ive looked into tht too, but i still rely on my vision too much to be eligible for a sight dog. would like to have a companion anyway as i find im not very sure of myself when out &about.

My Corso is a working therapy dog with a Children's Hospital, we also do literacy program's and have worked with seniors in palliative care and day camps with children with Cerebral Palsy. Out of her litter 3 of 5 have their Therapy certification. Of the other two, one is in the UK and not sure how it works there and the other could easily pass they just have not done it with her as of yet. My breeder is Del' Agreste Cane Corso in Iowa. There are a few breeders out there who have dogs donated to service work and doing it. I would talk to as many breeders as possible and see who you are most comfortable working with :D
