I stumbled across this cite somehow and think this is just what I am in need of!! I was scanning the craigslist pages over the weekend with no intention on purchasing a single thing when I came across this post...http://waco.craigslist.org/pet/3568764223.html I thought to myself...there is no way. I have to know how much they are asking for a re-homing fee because I remembered watching a documentary on the Presa a few years back and thought they were high dollar companions. When I called the lady said she was a former vet tech and the dog had been a rescue..her re-homing fee was $100. I was very skeptical but had to see her for myself. The next day my daughter and I went to one of the "coming up" neighborhoods and came home with our first Presa Canario(i think)
I had a few tell me she looks like a pit and since she did not come with papers but supposedly has some I am myself wondering the same question. How can I be sure she is a Presa? She seems to fit the look and is soooo intelligent. She is gently with my daughter, and wanted to eat the 4 cats we have but is doing well with "leave it" even when they interrogate her it seems. I hate to cut this short but really must go run errands and don't want to waste a post.
Any and all training tips, pointers, anything would be very much appreciated!!!
