Well somebody finally mistaked my Bella the other day for a boxer and before I got the chance to come on and tell all of you it happened again this morning, what kills me is I'm keeping her lean she's not pudgy at all and they see the black mask and they just say boxer but for me I don't see it at all, I once and a while get that's a big pitbull or she gotta big head for a pit at least there trying to give her a complement, will try and find camera that my 4 yr old was playing with and post new pictures and growth soon at 4 1/2 months

I have 2 CC's and I mostly just hear "is that a pit or pit mix"? I haven't heard boxer yet. You don't see alot of CC's in Mobile, AL...the only other person I know that has CC's is the breeder I adopted my Corelina from. My neigbors have a BM though, but its a female and my female is very female aggressive and can't play with her.

I just posted a picture on Facebook and someone commented that they love boxers and had 6 of them over the years. If you had 6 I would think you could tell the difference.image.jpg here is my boxer!!! Lol

Yeah, boxer, pug, bulldog, I've gotten it all.. After a while, when they get a lot bigger, is when it becomes even more fun.

A small kid asked me if Boone's a pug. I told him he's a pug that eats other pugs ;) Scarred him for life I think.

I kind of get it. Unfortunately there are a lot of poorly bred boxers and BM's out there now and it changes the look. More for the boxer. My SIL has a red BM puppy and she looked very similar to my first plain fawn boxer when she was small. Me? Someone asked me if my EM was a cocker spaniel and everyone always thinks my very well bred boxers are pits.

I dont see Boxer at all there but then again, there are quite a bit of non dog experienced people who think they are, out there that would think that.
I get "is that a sharpie" with my Neo all the time..I just laugh and say..."yeah a really really big one"

Both of my fawn BMs got mistaken for boxers, most often when they were at a juvenile stage. My extremely dark brindle BM was never mistaken for anything - people just crossed the street, grabbed their kids and ran, etc. lol

Well, Boris (our EM) never gets mistaken for anything except possibly a bear! We get, "OMG!!! What IS that?!!!!" a lot. Adults tend to run for cover, but kids love him! Some people thought our Harle GD was a giant pit bull.

I've got a BM, and I have had a boxer. There is guy in my street who has a BM and his dog looked far more like a big boxer than a BM until recently. Up until about 1 year old, BM's are still quite slim and have 'puppyish' faces. I think its only when they really start to bulk out that they stop looking like boxers. But that's just my opinion :)

We all need one of these! I posted a link to The cane corso shop, I hope it worked. But they sell sweatshirts explaining what your dog is. I am seriously considering buying one for the summer. For winter I would need a jacket with the same message.

Abby Christmas.jpgYes I have one of those "Boxers" too.
Several people have asked what else she is mixed with besides Boxer.
I find myself needing to defend her heritage "Maam she is a 100% Pure Bred Cane Corso" !

I know, I almost feel like carrying around his registration certificate to prove his heritage, because sometimes they look at you like you have just made up a breed.

soon you will just get "what is that!" Which is what Ajax's dad gets lol. I too have the hoodie but still get the stand and stare then the question. When I answer they just nod like they have an idea what I am talking about. Oh and we need pictures BTW ;)
