Okay so we were showing yesterday :) Didn't do too badly BOS for both shows but we lagged a lot and poor Danae had a crappy handler :p But in better news our friends male took a group 3rd and group 2nd and this morning took a group 2nd as well :)IMG_1057.jpgIMG_1058.jpgIMG_1192.jpg575341_10150840918844434_745019433_11566315_430071939_n.jpg

Good looking corsos! Love them, more photos! :)

Thanks... black brindle is a NYer :) and the blue brindle is from Germany. The puppies are texans.

So who is who in the last 2 pics?

LOL! Blue brindle is my friend Paul and his female Abby and the black brindle is my female Danae and me handling which is why they aren't the greatest stacked pics of her :)

Nice looking dogs. Win or no win them look real nice to me

The black brindle is mine and we got BOS and it is nothing to sneeze at. Especially since the blue male that beat us a nice male doing good things in both CKC and CFC.

Congrats!

Love the pups in the background too

They are the newest additions to the corso world up here in the maritimes. Texans! So they might have a bit of shell shock with the temps we are getting at the moment.

I know absolutly nothing about show's. But them 2 dogs look awsome to me. I'm digging the CC's the more I learn about them.

Are you showing CKC as well? I saw Jerry was, just wondering why the turn outs in the East for CKC are pretty much non exsistant. Same with dogs in Ontario, according to the judges list the CC is still pretty much absent :(
Seems ppl are still showing rare breeds, which now that we can show CKC would be nice to get the dogs out there and seen.

Congrats on the wins. As far as stacking her: she looks pretty good, legs are pretty much in line. In the second pic her rear is a little high; if you can kick her back legs out just a touch it will level her out. (We have the opposite problem w/Ruby; gotta keep her back legs in so she gets some angulation).
Something people often don't think of is what they're wearing when handling in the ring. Your friend looks pretty casual, while you look like you're dressing out of respect for the "sport". That's a good thing. The black pants might blend in with your dog but she's so dark that a lighter pair of pants will make her stand out, especially her face. What do you mean by "lagged a lot"?

Jerry is showing CKC and our paperwork is going in this summer so we can start in the fall once the baby is a little older. But otherwise we are the only ones on this end that are showing at all. And the 2 puppies are as well. I am not sure if they will continue but we hope so. The rest I don't know where they are but they aren't showing CKC or CFC.

She lagged in the energy area as the judged was 2 1/2 hours late for her assignment and Danae was forced to just chill and behave in the arena and she quickly got bored so when she went in the ring she lacked her normal pep. We both did :( At that point I was ready to head home. She did well though. The rough part is that you have to keep them stacked and happy while the judge has someone write up what they think of the dog and at this point in those pics she had been standing for approx. 10 minutes in a stack so she wasn't impressed so I was more concerned with making sure she didn't use my drool rag as a tug out of spite then how she was stack :) The shows are a lot more relaxed than CKC or AKC and the judges don't really care what you wear in. I don't know if it is because of the way the judge or if it is just a more casual atmosphere. I try to be comfortable but to still look a little dressy. If I am not feeling it then I have my friend handle her but she wasn't around this time :(

Those texans were hilarious to watch wrestle... provided some entertainment to break up the long waits.

Here is the male that won :) I just wanted to make sure it was alright with the owners before posting so you can see what he looked like too.IMG_1095.jpg

Beautiful. I'm glad to see that brindles are respected in your breed; the judges at AKC shows don't seem to even notice brindle bullmsastiffs.

I'd noticed that too Ruby, much like the English Mastiffs, you almost never see anything but fawn in the show ring (at least the few I've been to anyway). And the Westminster BOB Cane Corso, wow, LOVED the color, stunning, and so NOT the "usual" color set.

And cause I keep forgetting to post here, Blackshadow, lovely dogs and congrats on the points!

Tell danae she looks great...she lost all her baby weight! ;) She should've won though ;) I'm bias of course since I've watched her grow...
