Love it. Mine are the same, every damn noise outside and they must protect at all costs!
I have had quite a few salespeople/Jehovah Witness's turn and run from the door at the sounds coming from inside.
I am actually ok with the barking, they stop when I tell them to, and it is a fantastic deterrent. I do not believe I have pissed off anyone enough to have them risk entering without invite :D

When its "go home from work" time and he has to alert at every car going by (we're over 50' from the road too) it gets annoying.....he mostly doesn't do that, but he'll go through phases.....He'll MOSTLY stop when I tell him its ok, but when he gets in a mood like that night, forget it. But yah, the last time I saw someone "not notice" the no soliciting sign they never quite made it out of the car before they were pulling their feet back in really quickly, and he wasn't even outside!

I love it. I love when Jade chases away the nothing. I let her go out and bark it up for a minute or 2 then tell her good girl come on now. But the other night it wasn't the nothing because she charged the fence with the rufrufrufwoofwoofwoof ....... grrrrrrr woof. Then ever light in the nearbye houses came on and one asked me if everything was ok. Told him Jade chased it off what ever it was. Next morning we checked by the back fence and there were 2 sets of human tracks in the snow right next to my fence and they were facing the fence too. Neighbor said thanks for keeping the area safe. Remember the Nothing can be a bad thing. Let your dog let you know.
