4 month old cane corso first heat?

Juliette is 4 months old and I found some blood stains on her pillow. I checked for cuts but nothing. Could it be that she is on her first cycle? I was thinking she wouldn't get it until she is older. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

That would be really early for a heat cycle. Are her genitals swollen? Could she be teething or have lost some baby teeth?

I would say teething over heat cycle. It would be VERY early for her to go into season.

yea my girl just turned 6 month and no heat cycle yet! She has lost all of her baby teeth and their use to be blood on some of her toys.... look in her mouth

ditto teething, most giants have their first cycles after the 6 month point, some are closer to the year!

Denna's first heat started right at the 10 month mark.
4 months does sound like good candidate for losing teeth...

I would suspect teething or a some other slight injury. Heat cycles depend on the female but the females I have experience with are 8+ months and some not until 18 mths.

I'm hoping Carma (7 months) doesn't go into heat until 18 months. I'm not explaining that to my 3 and 5 yr olds. "So daddy, where does that blood come from"...Ask your mother!!!!!!!!!!!
