I think he behaves that way because he's had lots of socialization and he also knows I will step in and stop it or redirect it. He knows he isn't allowed to act aggressively EVER. Not with strangers and not with other dogs. He trusts that I'll handle it. I've been doing a lot of energy work with this pup in the video. He totally owned his owners and was just a super high energy mess. We are up to around being able to hold place for 2 hours, walking on a loose leash during high distractions, and playing nicely and toning down the energy. To steal a phrase "Calm on Command" is a wonderful thing. I don't know enough about other breeds. My EM's are not very drivey and highly intelligent and sensitive. They are quick to pick up new things. The only obstacle I haven't been able to overcome is keeping Hank, my male from jumping the fence when the bitch across the street goes into heat lol. Tonight he broke the clasp on my long line/tie out line. He is absolutely not allowed outside without being tethered to me or to a stake in the ground when she's in heat. Otherwise he's a damn good dog and even stays in the yard lol
