Hi i'm new here.I live in El Salvador and have the best dog of the world a black CC 17 month old who plays with a Boston Terrier and this little guy in a few minutes starts biting my CC ears that make my dog run away from he BT. My CC puts his head under my legs or down a car.
I want to know, just about, when my dog will act as he should.
Thanks for the help

Sounds like you have a sweet, sensitive CC that looks to you to protect him from the nasty Terrier. :)
I think that's a better response than biting the other dog back in protest...

I'm sure if the Terrier went to attack YOU, his response would be very different.

Sounds to me like both dogs are pretty much doing what would be good for them. 17 months is still a pup, and they can be very rude in dog language. His much smaller elder is teaching him manners, I suspect, and good that your pup didn't go hostile. Imagine if you came across a human toddler that was four times your size? You'd probably be thinking "nope, nope, nope, nope...back off giant baby!"

Did it look like Hank running from this little hyper dog before I do a recall and save him? I posted the video cause I think the owner will think it's cute.

I think that the lil dog is being rude and dominant. You decide. (Skip to about 1:20)

Well, it definitely is not good play. Play is not fun unless it has a back and forth. I get you then you get me type of thing. The mastiff is trying to retreat and being very respectful. At first it looked like the mastiff might join in but I think quickly it turned into too much excitement and he decided it was no fun. He may have given some mixed signals at the start with his pouncy/loose body language but it quickly changed into run for the hills!

By the way, I have used recalls to get my dog out of questionable scenarios a few times. It drives me nuts when people at dog parks let their dogs bully and the other owners don't say anything!

Lol good play by play. That's how I saw it. He was like ok, wait, RUN!!! lol

Honestly though, I'd rather my big boy "puss out" and run then tear that little dog up. His entire head fits in Hank's mouth lol.

Having a dog that reacts the exact opposite way and instantly defends herself I can tell you, enjoy it while you can and hope he stays that way.

I think he behaves that way because he's had lots of socialization and he also knows I will step in and stop it or redirect it. He knows he isn't allowed to act aggressively EVER. Not with strangers and not with other dogs. He trusts that I'll handle it. I've been doing a lot of energy work with this pup in the video. He totally owned his owners and was just a super high energy mess. We are up to around being able to hold place for 2 hours, walking on a loose leash during high distractions, and playing nicely and toning down the energy. To steal a phrase "Calm on Command" is a wonderful thing. I don't know enough about other breeds. My EM's are not very drivey and highly intelligent and sensitive. They are quick to pick up new things. The only obstacle I haven't been able to overcome is keeping Hank, my male from jumping the fence when the bitch across the street goes into heat lol. Tonight he broke the clasp on my long line/tie out line. He is absolutely not allowed outside without being tethered to me or to a stake in the ground when she's in heat. Otherwise he's a damn good dog and even stays in the yard lol

What did you want your dog to do?? He did the best thing by walking away, to you his owner. Shows he trusts you to sort the situation out.
