Favorite Corso out there?

I like Corsi that resemble mollosers; not boxers. There's a lot of variance within the breed that somehow fits the standard. I really do like Pinacle Performance Corsi and another guy out of Las Vegas, NV. I think his kennel is called Red Cliff Cane Corso.

Red Rock I think is the one in Vegas.

We all have preferences for what look we prefer in a corso and what I like might not be what another likes. Standards are guidelines as to what to breed for but like most other things is open for interpretation. There should be more consistency in the breed (perhaps will be in 50 years or so from now) and in some kennels there are but right now everything is wayyyy toooo all over the place, so while if the dogs met the standard you might be able to pick out certain lines by their look they should all fit the standard. That isn't the case at the moment which is why we advise people to find a breeder that has the type of dogs they are looking for and is a reputable breeder.

Same here, but that's my opinion.

Even within a kennel you will find different looks if they import or bring new dogs in for different blood. If they have been breeding for a while then hopfully you will see some consistency at least with their dogs/lines that they are using but there are several kennels that I like some dogs but not all :)

I have to add another favorite of mine, he is young but his owner is doing amazing stuff with him.

Safir IPO 1A. HIGH OB! (former Sch 1A)
2.5 years old. First Cane Corso in Canada to hold an IPO title. He also got high in group OB when he got his CKC OB leg and got his BH at only 18 months!

Having met both, nice dogs.
Safir has a fantastic temperament as well. Huge congrats to him and Alla.
Great she is dedicated to him, they are doing awesome things. Great to see more Corso in Canada out actually doing things :)
Although he is closer to 3 I believe, his b day is the beginning of Jan.
I also believe he has his CGN

This is one of my faves. He used to be part of Sangue Magnifica's kennel but I think he is no longer theirs. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=K9_z6EpBVbQ I also love Guardiana's Broker. I have a pup coming here to the US out of his 1st litter in 3 long weeks.

Im surprised no one has mentioned Conan dei dauni. He HAS to be the most used stud in Europe. Hes outstanding

Mary's bitch Hemi is line bred to Conan, I would guess she is a fan ;)
Conan was a nice looking dog, I am concerned in his newest pictures of what is going on with his skull, but he was/is indeed a very "used" male.
I find personally that there seems to be a lot of hyper type dogs that come out of Timoniere kennels, not all but quite a few.
But personally I am not a fan of Cheno or what he has done for the breed in regards to type.
For me he was kind of the beginning to the Boxerelli movement that is a problem in the breed.
My personal preference is towards the more "rustic" for lack of better term, Corso.

You would be right I am a fan. Both girls have line breedings back to Conan :) Conan is getting up there in age and I suspect if he is like my male rottie he is losing a lot of muscle/depth to his skull making him look old and sunken in. My big male rottie is starting to look the same way at almost 10 and while it doesn't seem to happen to all dog it has happened my my big guy :(

Nice! Sorry do you have 2 or 3? Your intro post just said adding a second CC, so not sure if you mean this is 2 or 3?
Do you work? Show? Breed?
How old are your babies?
Every one has their own likes and dislikes in the breed, dogs that they are drawn to so to speak :)

@ Mary, not sure if it is muscle. Have you see any recent pics of him (Conan)?

I originally got Seven as a co-own but my landlord got a case of "I read something bad on the internet and those mastiff's are attack dogs" so20121010_203308.jpg he gave me the choice of paying a $1500 "insurance deposit" or leaving. I chose to look around and as soon as i said "mastiff" people acted like was going to have binLaden in my yard. So the breeder just keeps him at the kennel now. I eventually found a house and got Gia who just turned 1 on saturday. And sometime this week I will have 2nd choice of males from a litter from Guardiana kennel is Zagreb, croatia. I am being mentored by the breeder I got Seven from. I eventually would like to breed but I dont know if I'd ever do it on.any grand scale
