Mmmmmm I love the smell of gunpowder and lead!

Well took the guns out for the first time this year for some much needed stress relief. It is amazing how the smell of gunpowder can clear your mind and put your nerves at ease. Now for those of you that are thinking I may be some unstable loon I can assure you I'm not. I have just been around guns from a young age. Today we shot the 50 cal muzzle loader, 58 cal muzzle loader, 30-06, 22 and the double barrel 12 guage shotgun. It was a very entertaining 3 hours with the family.

Anyone else love guns?

Funny you say that I just got my pistol back from repair so I took it to the range on Sunday. Shot about 35 rounds through it. It's a Taurus slim 40 cal. I also shot a kimber 45 cal. I loved the kimber.

As the weather gets nice it's making me miss my shotgun. I've got a 20 gauge shotgun, but I keep it in Wisconsin for deer hunting. Something about shooting a shotgun makes you feel like a badass. Lol. Maybe it's just me. I'm planning on getting another shotgun to keep down here but considering a 12 gauge. I've also got a 270 rifle.

I'm jeleaus!

We're probly going to be buying our first rifle in the near future....probly a lever action 30-30. We've got our eye on the Marlin 336 line. We've currently got a 20g shotgun and a ridciously high powered air-rifle.

Ruth I think that's the rifle my brother just got. He loves it. Have a hell of a time trying to find ammo for it though

I've been asking and looking around. Its not the cheapest ammo out there, but not the most expensive either, and at least SOME stores by me had some in stock when I called around over the weekend.

Ouch! Not that bad here (how in heck is NY have lower prices on ammo than you do??), depending on the brand it ran from $21 to $35 a box.

30/30 is a good gun. Great saddle gun but I don't guess you do much shooting from the saddle lol...I've been itching to go blow some stuff up also. Really want to go shoot my bushmaster since I had some work done to it..

Yep, I live to shoot. That is definitely my number one hobby. I LOVE guns! I Have my Concealed Carry Permit and I spend as much time as possible the range. My favorite gun at the moment (Amongst the many I have) is my Ruger P345. It is an amazing stress reliever for sure. :)

Winchester 30/30 is one of my favorite old guns in my collection. My most prized gun is my winmag .338. I can load my own shots for about $2 per shell or pay about $7 online... Sure is fun to shoot though..

For 30/30 ammo? Where the heck are you looking raech? I can find it all day long and never pay near that.

We can't find it anywhere near here. Bass pro, academy & cabelas are constantly sold out. The one time I saw it was at academy. I believe it was a more expensive brand. Only place I can ever find 40 cal rounds is at the gun range & they only allow people that have paid the range fee to purchase ammo.

My husband and I recently got ou concealed permits and we love going to the range. I recently bought a Beretta neo 22, I'm thinking of joining a target league, I'm a pretty good shot and love to compete so it may be the perfect hobby for me.

I have a Ruger SR9c, and I LOVE IT!!! Hubby has a 410, 22, & 45 and some other big gun he deer hunts with I'm not sure what it is lol. My faves are mine and the 22 LR. We live in the country so we shoot targets in our backyard all the time. The other day went over to my friends and taught her how to shoot. It was the first time she had ever fired a gun and she is 25. I thought it was awesome, she used to hate guns but decided now that she lives in the middle of nowhere and is home alone with kids alot she may need to learn. We emptied a few boxes of rounds before we were done and she FINALLY got why I love my gun. Something about emptying a clip that just knocks the stress out of you!

I can honestly say I have never shot a any handguns. Only been rifles that I either hunt with or hobby shoot. My personal favorite is my .308 savage that my father got me at 14 years old. It was rusted and scratched up but he sanded, cleaned and refinished it as well as found a second clip. To thus day that is all I hunt with. Tonight however I was really drawn to the 12 guage shotgun. It really does make you feel bad ass! I even shot the slugs out of it a couple times tonight. It was one great day. I even took the long now out and shot.

No guns right now but I want one. We had 22's and 410's in the house when I was growing up and we'd go to the range a bit. Once I left my mom's house I haven't had one, but I've got the itch.

I want a Benelli Supernova Tactical.

I liked hubby's 22 LR [bc it doesn't kick and I'm little and don't have much muscle] until I got my 9. I had only ever fired his cheap-o 45 as far as hand guns and hated it! He insisted I get the handgun for home protection since he isn't here much. He is an over the road truck driver and only home a few days a week. So I finally agreed and went and pick out mine and LOVE IT!! It did take adjusting to from only shooting rifles my whole life and that one stupid handgun one time. But now I pick up my 9 anytime we go out to shoot! Try out a hand gun and you might just like it.

My friend just bought 100 acres about an hour away from here so I'll be shooting a lot more real soon. We're going to set up our own little target course with some things similar to what they have on Top Shot. I like going to the range, but I much prefer to shoot on private land where you can do what you want and not worry about some idiot muzzle sweeping you. I currently own 5 pistols and 11 rifles, one of which is a Marlin 336. They're great guns for shooting deer or coyote, especially if it's within 150 yds.
