  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Xmas day.

We are doing our celebration on Christmas Eve instead of Christmas morning this year. It will be Myself, My three boys, Their other halves, 4 grandchildren and of course Ruger and Magnum. Ham and a million other sides, homemade breads and cakes and cookies. I LOVE Christmas!

I am sorry to hear about your mom, Deb. Enjoy your day with Titan. Robin, I won't be inviting anyone besides my immediate family, either.......Ruger wouldn't have it. :)
Thank you, Kris. You always put on a feast for your family, they are quite fortunate to have you! :)

We usually have a movie marathon, not sure what it's going to be this year, maybe Harry Potter. Just the animals, my hubby and me.

This sounds absolutely wonderful! I have 23 of my closest family members coming over. I would much rather do it your way!

Titan and I are spending the day watching movies and eating (I'm cooking turkey with all the fixings)! He gets to pick one movie which he always picks a horror flick. :)

I like the holidays at the park because Titan can run off leash. :)

I've been invited to spend the day with family but I decided this year I would do my thing. It's the first Christmas since my mom passed away so I'm not in the festive mood.

Titan and I will have a great day!

Deb, I'm sorry about your mom. We lost my dad just before Christmas several years ago, the first one without a loved one is hard. Your plan sounds like a good one but should you decide you want to be surrounded by a bunch of complete strangers (and they are strange) you are welcome to join my family for king crab and prime rib. No turkey, sorry. Or, You, Titan and I could hide on the back porch with some wine while the the masses are inside. I like that idea even better. :)

so sorry to hear about your mum, deb. i hope it is as good as can be this year for you.

i both gave birth to and lost my baby daughter in november last year, so christmas was full of heartbreak if i'm honest.

this september, i gave birth to a healthy baby boy, so this year should be wonderful.

sorry this was a bit deep for the initial question lol - this year we are hosting christmas day, so dinner is at our house, with our parents and siblings, and of course our BM, max who i am sure will have the best tea ever!

i, like the other UK posters, wish the beach was an option!

Glen. We are in Washington. It'll be Roker beach for us. Maybe push our luck and try South Shields cos there won't be any council people there to tell us off.
Sounds like your all having good days. I've already told my family that I will see them in Boxing Day but Xmas this year is all about me and max. Always spent my Xmas driving everyone everywhere so will be nice to have the day to ourselves and chill out. And to be able to have a drink obv.
I'll be getting two huge T bones for Xmas dinner. I like mine rare but max will be having his as God intended.

Car Ride to Southern Orange County! Visiting Family, Fishing and the dogs will be sunbathing and swimming the whole time I bet. Their favorite "vacation" spot haha! :) especially with our cold winters now!

Okay so you all are making me feel super guilty I won't be spending the day with my baby, Zoe. We have the festivities at my sisters house and while her boxer and Zoe are best buddies, we can't get them to calm down. They wrestle the WHOLE time they are together and with 21 guests, it really is a bit much sometimes. So with the support of my BF, we agreed to leave her home since I really would like to see my family this year. Usually I spend my time outside making sure my dog won't run away off leash as her dog is on an invisible fence. Then inside I just hear everyone hollering for them to stop horsing around. Well with Zoe I can get her to stop but their dog has no commands besides sit and down. When Zoe then gets locked up she just whines. So for all our sanity, this year my snuggles will be once we are home and in bed. But I know I will be thinking about her the whole time :(

Nice long walk in the park early Christmas morning with Murphy, see family () about 12:30pm till 13:30pm, go home and watch movies with the family (first Christmas with the dog, too), Christmas dinner and then out for another walk with a rowdy 2-year-old GSD.

Agree with the other UK members about the beach too!

Yeah I can see the beach up here near Sunderland being nothing but awful for me. But if we aim for lunch time it will be quiet so heaven for dog.

There are some AWESOME dog beaches in OC and San Diego Counties - Dog Beach in Ocean Beach was always our favorite when we lived there but at some point during the 20 years we lived there we did check out most of the others too. Have a great trip!

Find California Dog Beaches, Dog Parks & Recreation Areas in San Diego

the weather will suck won't it?! wish it was warmer so that we could actually do this - i wouldn't mind, but max hates the rain and cold, he doesn't like the idea of walking and it's also way too cold for the baby! are you far from the beach where you are? theres three around us but we're about 45 minutes away from all of them xxx

On Xmas Eve we go to MIL's house - Xmas day we will start the morning with my dad coming over at the crack of dawn so he can watch my boys open gifts, then we will relax for a couple hours and head to my dads and I will cook dinner for 13 people (oh boy). By the time I am done cleaning my dads house I will come home and pass out.

We got there just at sun up so had a huge stretch of beach to our selves before other people turned up.
