I would question this breeder, I see a horrible chain on the ground near this timid female. Neither her conformation nor coloring suggests a full blooded, happy, well kept dog. Usually I suggest visiting a breeder several times during pregnancy, after birth and before taking a pup home. Question vet history and require that your vet discuss the medical health of the female & pups. Get documentation on vaccinations and worming. Question feeding practices, and so on. Usually once you begin making demands a poor breeder will step back and tell you that you either want the pup or you don't which at that point gives you a great way to justify backing out!

ZoeOwner, I also don't appreciate snippy, rude comments! It is just too easy to answer a question without being nasty.

I don't think the dog looks like a CC. My first thought when I looked at the pics was that she was mixed with Rott. And I would have to agree that I would not pay $500 for a mixed breed dog.
