it's not normal for a 10 month old dog to have pneumonia , the dog should be under a vets care .... not only is pneumonia life threatening , the reason the dog got pneumonia could possibly be as fatal ........ I would think the pneumonia is secondary to something else .......

try mcdonalds , seriously , whatever he'll eat , protein and fat would be great , but calories would suffice in getting his appetite back , a hamburger ....... possibly the meds have upset his stomach , ask the vet for something like sucralfate ...... I believe mcdonalds French fries saved one of my dogs life ..... he bloated , they were able to save him with a surgery , he lost his spleen and it caused him a heart issue , he wouldn't eat , I got him to eat mcdonalds French fries and he built an appetite off that ........

Scrambled eggs, cheese (sometimes parmesan as a 'topper' makes food smell good enough to eat), a burger - I might cook my own before going to McD's... but whatever works!!

Also, try giving him some broth (home-made or low-sodium chicken or beef broth) to help get some extra liquids in him, too.

Sorry your pup is under the weather. Hope he feels better soon!

I'm sorry to hear this. My dog had an appetite stimulant from the vet when she was really poorly with an enlarged heart. I can't remember what it was called but it worked.

Go to a specialty pet store where they sell premium dog food and purchase a couple of tripe cans and also a couple of pumpkin cans for dogs. Mix some of the tripe with his regular food and see what happens. Try that first a couple of times, then try the pumpkin.

Even tuna might be enough to start his appetite. Try the easy stuff first. Good luck, sends prayers.

My girl loves salmon, I use the Alaska caught Wild Red Sockeye Salmon. I mash it up with the juice in the can and give her a little bit to urge her along when she's feeling off. Sometimes, I give her the whole can to break up the boredom of her other foods. She's wild about wild salmon. Give it a try, too, just a teaspoon at a time to make his mouth water.
