Ruger needs your prayers and wishes

I just saw a post on Facebook that Ruger-Kris' Ruger has a potential intestinal blockage and is having difficulties. She may not have been on for a while but many of us are familiar with or know her and her pups so let's put out all the positive nature of this forum to help her boy pull through this.

I just sent her a friend request. I have been through this x2 with my crazy lab. It sounds scary, but modern vet medicine has come a long way, and things can be fixed. At the end of the day, your pup goes through some serious agony for about a week, but they can recover. Mad prayers and well wishes are going towards Ruger from my family.

AAArrrgghhh. I meant to add that the two surgeries ended up costing me about $7500. I hope that she doesn't need to do the exploratory surgeries or the colectomies. I think if this happens, some kind hearted person will start a gofundme.com account. I will give as much as I can.

Thank you so much, Dawn for starting this thread and thanks to everyone that has commented. I'm a nervous wreck. He is still drinking but not interested in food. I did get the nausea medicine in him and he hasn't vomited again. I'm going to try to get the other meds in but I hate putting meds in on an empty stomach. I'm truly scared to death. Ruger is my best friend and I will do whatever it takes to get him better. The thought of losing him has me throwing and crying. I do appreciate y'all so much. You can't begin to imagine. Thank you so much again.

Thank you so much everyone. He still hasn't thrown up again and is drinking per the usual. I've been jamming his meds down his throat and they have stayed down and just a little bit ago I got him to eat a half a piece of toast and it has stayed down as well. He seems to be getting better slowly but until he is eating a bit more and then able to go to the bathroom, I won't know if he really is getting better or not.
