  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Rhaegar, Rhaegar, and more Rhaeger!

Went back to Louisiana around the new year and everyone was freaking out when it started frosting outside. When we left the house for the trip we had about 2' of snow on the ground lol.

Here are some pics of our early hike this morning (which was Bitsy's first hike). It was also the boys first hike with their packs. We went for about two hours, and the packs didn't seem to bother them at all. They still ran, wrestled, and went in the water with them on. I just had a couple full water bottles in each side. I didn't want to start with too much weight. At first, I had a lot of trouble with the packs going lopsided (especially on Atlas, you can see it in several pics), but I just didn't have the straps snug enough. After I tightened them up, we didn't really have a problem. And the biggest thing - no sore armpits!! My fuzzy sock alterations worked, lol. Bitsy actually did a really good job keeping up with the big dogs.

I really like this one:

But this is probably my favorite:

Bitsy doesn't really know any commands yet, so the group photo with her in it was a fail, lol.

More dog pictures!! These are from our hike this morning. It was so pretty. It's finally starting to look like fall here, but it doesn't feel like it. It's 80+ degrees out right now, so the dogs actually got pretty hot. I wasn't sure if it's hunting season yet here or not, but people are allowed to hunt in the Tuskegee National Forest, so everyone had to wear their horrendous orange bandannas. They were the rainbow squad this morning, lol. A LOT of color going on! "Mom, it will hold your weight, I swear!" How did Rhaegar get so handsome???! Poor Atlas has never been handsome, lol. "I can do what the big dogs do!" "You want me to cross on this?!" The entire rainbow squad: Practicing our "touch" command on the trail blazes: Best part of a 5 mile hike? Pooped pups!!

Oh you are so mean to Atlas! I almost didn't see Bitsy in the back on the bridge where all the dogs were in a traffic jam. Mazey looks great and Rhaegar is always a cutie pie. Bitsy always looks worried lol.

Lol, that's because Atlas is an enormous PITA!! He is definitely more Kerry's dog. He's a really good boy, but his quirks kind of drive me nuts. Bitsy keeps up well, but I think she's still a little baffled about why exactly we're hiking, lol. I think, plus the camera, gives her a worried look. Or maybe just her big chihuahua eyes, lol.
