Really worried about Jax...again

His vet did say that could be a possibility but they would have to do a muscle biopsy to confirm. His lymph nodes on his left side are enlarged and his face looks swollen on that side too. He had a fever of 103.2 when we took him in today. He is so strong willed and has such spirit, it breaks my heart to see him like this. He is such a good sport about it all. The techs asked if they could borrow him so that he could teach other dogs how to do an xray. They go on and on about how good he is and doesn't resist any treatment they throw at him. One of the girls calls him Prince Jax. She loves him to death. I wish they were a full service hospital with specialists! They are so good to him.

I will :) He has been extra snuggly and attached to me. I didn't think that was possible but he has sure proven me wrong!

Amanda, I'm keeping you and Jax firmly in my prayers. I'm not sure how fund raising is handled in the States. Here, I believe, arrangements can be made with your bank to open a fund raising account. The bank oversees the funds, pays the bills and in agreement with recipient designates any excess to be delivered to another charitable cause. Blessings from Bailey & Family

I hope Purdue specialists can help you out and help Prince Jax. XO to you and Jax from me and Titan.

There's a site called GoFundMe.com for fundraising for all sorts of different things. Not sure what it takes to set it up but you should check it out

Amanda, do you have a PayPal account? I would like to send a donation to help with the testing.

Hugs

I don't but my husband does, jfarmer41@comcast.net Thank you AB. Thanks for the hugs too :) I am a mess about my boy. He has really worked his way into my heart. Its funny to think back and I didn't even want another dog, he was Jason's idea. Now he is a complete and total momma's boy. I am a caretaker by nature and he takes all I can give and then some. And he has sure needed his share in his short life. He just turned two and has been through so much. I really appreciate all the info and support! Thank you all, I am so happy to have found this forum. I guess I owe a big THANKS to Cody for that one :)

Done! Hopefully, he will start showing improvements and won't even have to do the test. Keeping fingers crossed.

I just saw this thread--- all my best wishes for a successful meeting with the specialists on Tuesday!

My heart goes out to you; nobody knows when medical mysteries decide to visit our dogs...and it's the worst feeling. Especially the watching and waiting...and worrying.

Jax sounds like a real sweetheart- is he the one in your avatar?

Thanks! He has been a mystery from about 9 months of age, when he first started with the seizures. I should be an old pro at waiting and worrying but it never gets any easier. Jax is a sweetheart and he has so much personality! He is really such a goof and I thought he would be a puppy forever. He can be so silly. These last few months I have noticed a more serious side of him that I hadn't ever seen before. Its so neat to watch him mature. Parker was an old soul from day one so its a whole new experience with Jax. And yes, he is the dog in my avatar picture :)

Oh my AB! You are an angel! I cannot thank you enough, you have no idea how much this will help Jax. We are so grateful...and now you have me crying! I don't ever cry but they are tears of hope and joy. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! BIG HUGS to you and give your babies smooches for me!! I wouldn't dare try myself!

Jax kissed me today! Not just a snout smush, he actually got his tongue out and licked my face! He hasn't done that for a week. I checked his mouth when I got home and it would only open about 1/2". Well I was sitting on the couch and he was begging to eat my potato soup and Jason reached over and checked his mouth...he had it open about an inch. I dipped my finger in the soup and let him lick it off, he could get his tongue out farther than I thought possible. I am trying not to get my hopes up but there is definitely improvement from 3 hours ago. I have been giving him Rimadyl everyday, not sure if that's helping or not. I can't stand the wait and not knowing. I just have to get through one more day.
