Kismet is acting as if she has something caught in her throat. It's not affecting her breathing or eating. When we got her out this morning, she drug me straight outside and started eating grass. When we came in she was doing a cross between a little cough and retching. She ate breakfast with no problems. Then seemed fine. Now she has started it again. Little mini episodes, about 5 of them.
She is sleeping fine now. I am getting ready to feed them lunch and will see how she does. If she does have something in her throat I'm not talking about anything big. Kind of like when you get one of those baby fish bones stuck in the back of your throat. I did feed her a couple of raw shrimp yesterday, headed but with the shell still on.
Thoughts or suggestions, please?
I have no problem taking her to the vet but at this point we are talking being worked in which usually means a couple of hours which neither of us want. Plus, the last two times I panicked and ran her up there and waited, she self resolved. (insect bite and then when she was acting lethargic).
We have an ER vet real close if it were to get worse during the night. I'm just wondering what you would look for to trigger a visit, other than the obvious?
Thank you!!!
