North Texas Playdate??

I had just read through a thread that was posted towards the end of June with other fellow north texans that got together for a play date. I was wondering if there are any play dates scheduled to happen in the near future? I'd love to get together with you guys & have Duchess make some new friends. We were waiting to start socializing her until she had enough vaccines, but now she's ready!

We need to start a mail list as last time we had two different groups on the same day! I'm tied up for the next three weekends but try to round up Ursa, musicdeb and sadiesmom.

I'm down for a play date. We might want to wait for a couple of weeks due to the intensive heat but it'll probably be hotter in Aug and Sept. Titan will be very uncomfortable in 100+ temps unless we have the play date around 9-10am. I hate Texas summers!

Morning would be fine with me! Just as long as its not 6 am! I have a hard enough time waking up at that time during the week LOL

I'm in. Sundays usualy works best but Saturdays are fine too. I am not available this weekend, but next weekend works for me.

We're meeting someone from the DFW Mastiff meetup group at the dog park in Allen at 8 this morning. I know it's last minute (just saw Dawn's email) but we'd love to have you join us. We usually stay around 45 mins to an hour so it's not too hot. Bob starts his next class next Saturday so we'll be Sundays only after this weekend.

We need to find a park that is pretty central for all of us. I live in Irving. Next weekend is good for me on Sat or Sun around 9:30am. It appears Ursa lives the furthest away from Dallas as well as Sadies Mom. It looks like central area is either Carrollton or Richardson. Comments? Suggestions?

I'll do some researching & see if I can't find anything. Only thing I know of is that Fort Woof dog park. Took Duchess in the car today & she rode very well. Laid down in the seat & went to sleep! So proud of her!

I'm out for next weekend but in one of my posts I posted the info for a dog park on Keller Springs that is very nice when doing a drive by, haven't actually been there yet but that is kinda central between Carrollton and Richardson?

I'll research parks in Keller Springs and Carrollton. Is everyone ok with non-dog parks, meaning parks that dogs must be leashed? I prefer not to take Titan to a dog park until I socialize him more.

That's fine by me! I'll just have to get Duchess a little longer leash. For the most part she does pretty good & has picked up the leash training pretty well, however, she is stubborn & has her moments where she puts the brakes on & has to think about it a little more before proceeding. (rolling my eyes)

Wanna meet up tomorrow morning? Who is in? What time and were would be good for you guys and gals??

I'm not available the next 2 weekends. Titan will be disappointed when I tell him. I haven't researched parks in Carrollton/Keller Springs. My bad...

I live pretty far out (Sadler), but when it gets somewhat cooler, I would like to bring Kona and meet with you guys on a playday.

Did you have a play date today? Is everyone down with another play date on 8/12/12 @ 10am location TBA? I'll do my best to research parks in Carrollton and Keller Springs, unless someone has suggestions for a central or somewhat central location.

Sorry guys I was out of town & just got back at 3 AM this morning. My grandfather passed away so I had to attend his funeral in Michigan. 8/12 works for me. I'll put it in my calendar.

I'm sorry to hear that your granddad passed away. Are you doing ok?

Yes, I'm fine. It was difficult but I'll get through it! Looking forward to the next couple weeks & being busy where I won't have to think about it.

I swear I came back & it looked like duchess had gained 10 lbs & grew 4 inches. I guess that's what happens when you look at your puppy every day then all of the sudden have to go away for a couple days!
