These are so funny!!!! When I am asked what kind of dog I say English Mastiff then they say "Oh and Bullmastiff" and I say "No that is a different breed" Then they argue with me LOL

With Preto now 5 months and 50+ pounds we get the we should breed your dog with my pit often... Can you imagine how big they would be and colors...

Only one that really pisses me off is a lady down the street who owns 2 boxers( most misbehaved dogs I have EVER seen) called me an Extremely irresponsible pet owner because how could anyone bring home a pitbull/black lab mix, hoping he would be friendly like a lab but mean looking like a pitbull. When i tried to explain he was a Cane Corso all she could say was she didnt care what they are calling all these mutts these days... I live in Edmonton and Pitbulls need special licences and muzzled at all times out side the home, 2 days later i received a visit from Animal Control to see why i wasnt muzzling my Pitbull( she obviously called it in) Much to our surprise he also had no idea what a Cane Corso was, was going to issue a citation until i brought inside and googled Cane Corso and showed him it has nothing to do with pitbulls at all. He left confused and his supervisor came back the next day to apologize and let the crazy lady know I didnt have a pitbull. She still doesnt believe it, so we make a conscious effort to walk by her house as many times a day as possuible bc her dogs go absolutely NUTS... 5 minute down Stay has been fun to practice outside her house... haha Stunned b*tch...

I was a little worried when we moved into our new neighborhood with our Cane Corso, but he has been welcomed by the neighbors. But, I could tell them 100 times what breed he is and they still will not remember....or care. Weird.

I was in petsmart and a little girl of about 6 or so was holding a yorkie and when Molli (she is around 74lbs now) came a sniffing the little girl started crying. I couldn't figure it out and thought she was scared, so I made Molli sit, shake, lay and then the payoff, KISS! the little girl calmed down and explained she was afraid the big dog was going to eat the yorkie for lunch.

L...O....L

I get a lot of silly remarks because of the massive difference in the two puppies I have, one being Marley the English Mastiff X Neapolitan Mastiff and the other being Hercules the Chihuahu X Yorkshire Terrier things such as:

You the know the mastiff will eat the smaller one.............

Is that the larger ones puppy.......... (Even though they look nothing alike except prehaps coat colouring)

Or reactions when I say they are the same age......But ones so much bigger........(yeah I know lol)

(Willie is a reverse brindle) "So where did you get the camouflage dog?" I had him out at Tractor Supply the other day socializing and a small child (maybe 3 or 4) asks me "Is your doggy gonna eat the store?" Of course, she petted on him for about 5 minutes once her mom and I assured her the doggy wouldn't eat the store.

"I bet your dog could take my dog"

or

Person: "OMG what is he?"
me: a Bullmastiff
Person: "a bull massive"
me: no, a Bullmastiff
Person: "I don't think so, you got ripped off, because those massive dogs usually are like 350lbs and only live until they are like 2".
me: stood in silence and awe because there were no words. then kept walking.

Gunner was on leash sitting in front of me waiting for his treat because he was being calm and letting children pet him, a little yorkie came up and jumped in his face and nipped, I stood in between the york & Gunner, it left, then it came up again and nipped his face again and growled, I told Gunner leave it .. he did... I swatted the york away again and looked for the owner, saw a women gingerly approaching. Then the Yorkie came back I managed to grab onto it's collar this time but then it turned and nipped my hand and went at Gunner again! Gunner growled and sort of snapped back at the pup, I corrected Gunner and re focused his attention on me and he then went right back to sitting. The Women FINALLY approached, swooped her dog up into her arms ... and says "WOW, your dog is only a puppy and already that agressive and mean, you should not own that type of dog, and your dog will have to be put down before it's a year old". A stranger who witnessed the scenario, came to me after and said she could not believe what the woman said to me and that if her dog was in the same position as Gunner (getting nipped at and growled at) her dog would have let it happen couple times then ripped the dog a new one!.

"You could win some cash in a dog fighting ring" (STILL boiling with anger about that one!)
