lol! I can totally understand the feeling. Good luck! It may still take a couple days, but hopefully!

I can just hear my husband now:

"The dog eats better than I do!"

Then I have to remind him that the dog sleeps in a cage and he gets the bed.......

I feed raw lol, trust me, I hear that gripe not infrequently! Then I point out that we have the money to eat that way ourselves and choose note to and he says, "oh yah, never mind" and keeps going lol

We had solid poop this morning! For the first time in a long time! Husband is on strict no treat orders!

Thanks so much for all the help and advice. I can't believe I am talking about poop this much!

That works

(and don't worry, in case you missed it dog poop is a common topic here lol)

My husband and I don't have kids together, and he has NO children. He said the other day that we have talked more about poop in the last 2 weeks than ever in our almost 9 years together! He doesn't like it.

lol!

once you get used to having a dog it becomes less of a general topic cause you know whats normal and whats not, but yah, its one of those things they don't warn you about when you go out to get a dog....

He was solid all day yesterday. This morning my husband said he was solid, but he stayed crouched down, and then watery stuff came out. He caled me because he was concerned.

I'd keep it in till he's been solid for at least a few meals straight.

Okay, thanks!

I also think he doesn't drink enough. I figured a dog would go right to the water after all night without, but he doesn't. He also doesn't go to the water after he eats in the morning.

The boiled meat and rice might be moist enough that he doesn't feel the need? If you're concerned though add some water (say 1/2cup to a cup) of water to his meals.

Ok, I started adding in the kibble, even though his poop is still a little weird. It is VERY solid, but then liquidy stuff comes out after the solid. It appears his poop is TOO solid, he has a hard time getting it started. So, I am hoping the putting hte kibble in will help that. I am giving it until Wed, then I will take him to the vet clinic. Yesterday, after he went, he strained a bit and some gel looking stuff came out. I researched that and come up with anal glands? So, if it keeps happening, then to the vet we will go.

Could be the anal glands....yah, go ahead and mix in just a little kibble and see how it goes. Its worth trying.
