Angel, I have CAFIB and non CAFIB friends and we actually hang out... no one gets butt hurt in any circle with both types more than in this group. I dont believe I am being received negatively as I get tons of PMs from people stating that they have learned alot from my posts and that it is obvious that I AM THE ONE THAT IS BEING ATTACKED... interesting huh? you guys can call names, put up stupid lil pictures, smiley faces with signs and even lil flag posts and claim victory after victory and bitch and complain how horrible i am for stating facts... so maybe it is you guys that are being ill received.... take your heads out of the sand and try to read through your garbage every once in awhile and see how you come off. (BTW this was not directed at you per say but you are def. included in it)

I'm sure Tojvan bought a Fila because he wanted a strong, powerful guardian. Filas do the majority of their growing in the first 6 months Juan, a 90 to 100lb male at that age is normal. Remember the standard says 100lb at maturity MINIMUM not maximum soaking wet as you like to say there brasileiroKID.
A 6 month old Fila should not look like this Cafib dog.....

lol, that dog is now about 125 lbs.... female. 90- 100lb 6 mth male is VERY abnormal. My 130lb bitch at 6 mths was about 60lbs, at 1 yr was about 95, at 1.5 yrs 115lbs, at 3 years 132... tell me your theory on fila weight again? An English mastiff male at 6 mths of age has an average weight of about 100lbs.. are you trying to say that a male fila should be on par with that?

Different Filas grow at different paces. And have growth spurts at different times. The point is you were giving tojvan crap about his 6 month male being nearly 100lbs which is within normal weight for a large boned male or female from CBKC type parents. This does not necessarely translate into a huge adult. You Cafib people like to pack on fat and call it filling out. Although a Fila is not mentally mature at 18 months it should be physically and no later than 24 months. I know there are exclusions to this, but generally this is true. 60lbs at 6 months is light there champ like it or not male or female. And btw that puppy I posted looks awefull. Is that next years cafib expo champ? Same breeder as the retreating champ right?

probably! that pup was how old? and how many pics of that pup did you take? did you take the best possible one or the worst? lets be honest that pup isnt 6 mths old and a 60lb male or female at 6 mths old is is average for a Fila Brasileiro. 100lbs for a Fila at 6 mths is not average and most filas do not stop growing at 24 mths. what do you think of my female Maddy? is she "small" or light boned? is she fat? lol. we like to grow our puppies slow as it has shown to help them develop their bones properly. I wasnt giving her crap about her pup being 6 mths and 100 lbs I said it was an issue. I have NEVER seen a 100lbs fila brasileiro pup and neither have you. tell tojvan the truth that she need sto be feeding her dog less or a different type of food. your pride can get her pup hurt so stop the crap.

I have a 140lb 3 year old female solid as a rock that was 111lbs to the day when she turned 27 weeks. I guarantee she has more balls than almost any Cafib male, bet that. Stick to things you have real expertise in, like confiscating peoples bottled water at airport checkpoints and patting down handicapped children.

Really, Tojvan is a dude? lol I also thought that tojvan was female, sorry man. My male 6 month old pup weighed 80lbs and he could have been 90lbs but because he had pano at a young age i kept him very lean. Now his fawn brother was closer to 100lbs at 6 months and not being fat either, so yes i agree that different pups grown at different rates as well as who is feeding them, some people think a fat dog is not fat when actually it is overweight, i say my female is overweight to the bf and he says no shes not , i ask him to cut her food back and he wont, cause he doesnt think she is fat, trust me she is overweight by at least 10-15lbs.!

Now what I said before is true.. grow the pup slow and slim and they will have less joint issues and bone issues, this is common sense but I guess common sense is not so common anymore.

Tjovan, sorry bro, I really thought you were a female. growing a pup slow does not mean that you will end up with a smaller dog, the dog will grow up to be what it will nothing more and nothing less.

chuck 75lbs is reasonable but 100lbs, the same weight as an English mastiff at the same age?
BTW at 130lbs my bitch is at just touching 26" she is not fat, she is not light boned and she has good muscle tone... 10lbs more and she would have to be taller and longer to be balanced and that would put her over the height standard, if she wasnt any taller she would be fat and not balanced....

LoL that math for..... Athena was about 70-75 pounds at 6 months and shes probably a 110 or so now, built like a Tonka truck. Shes also a girl though.... I can say one thing Tojvan our lines are the same and my girl turned out to be what most people want in a Fila (ask Brian Hendricks) so i wouldnt worry about it TBH...

i feed him raw meat i fed him beef up to 5 months at which point he weighed 83 points (lean not fat), but i changed that to chicken,bones etc to slow it down a bit and it seems to be working he is approximately 6.5 months or 28 weeks and he weighs 99.7 pounds; it might just be like ace said that after 6 months he might be slowing down.
