i still dont understand why people take their dogs (especially a dogo) to dog parks. case in point, we have our boy in an ongoing obedience class. he is an angel. we take him to the class more out of routine than anything else. with that said, this is a class with other BIG dogs that are for the most part very well behaved and trained. had an incident yesterday, a rott in the class was not on his best behavior and was in every dog's face. (the owner was still a novice dog owner and still learning) my boy didn't care for the rott and just sat there while the rott was aggressively in my boy's face. but my boy only has so much patience. and when the owner didn't check the rott....my boy did. if i hadn't been standing on the leash... my boy would of done a lot more than just snap at his face. what im trying to say is.. regardless of how well behaved your dog is.. pushed into a corner... your dogo is going to win. what i described happened in a controlled environment... what do you think would happen if you're in a dog park with dog's owners staring at their cellphones. and remember.. your dogo is probably the biggest dog there. it will ALWAYS be his/her fault.
for nerdybirdy... you have another dog. why are you taking them to parks. let them play with each other.
