Stella has had diarrhea all morning. It has mucous and some blood (red, not dark brown). She is not throwing up and she is still very alert an active. I am at work but my bf is home with her today monitoring her. We have a vet app on Monday with our preferred vet. We can bring her into our other vet today (we have an app in 2 hours, just not sure of this is an emergency or not).
Nothing about her diet has changed. I did pan sear a little bit of her good last night, but I didn't heat the bones at all. I also have been feeding her chicken necks and she eats them just fine (I used to give her naked bones but was worried about it causing intentional issues). She didn't seem odd last night and she had a normal appetite (ate close to 4lbs). The only thing I can think that could have upset her stomach was the chicken (I haven't feed her chicken in a while and she got a pond last night). But I gave our bulldog some and he is fine.
I'm not home to know what exactly is going on with her. He said she is drinking. But do you guys think I should bring her into a vet ASAP? Or would we be okay until Monday? I was thinking taking her to the vet just to get a fecal done. I just don't like this one vet because they charge an arm and leg for everything and I feel like they just do things for no reason. Let me just say that money is not really an issue here, I will spend whatever I need to on Stella. Even if I bring her to dr.dio today I will still bring her to dr.Simpson on Monday because I only trust dr.dio with things like eye infections or other things were the issue is obvious. I brought Stella to him when she had a intestinal infection and he misdiagnosed it. Simpson figured it out in no time.
Adam has not tried to feed Stella yet but he said he will soon. What do you guys think? I also gave her some beef last night that had been in the fridge for a few days. Def less than a week. It didn't smell funny or anything, but i did cook it a little jut because I wanted to be safe. Do you think this could have upset her tummy? It was a very small amount, less than a half pound.
Thanks everyone
