aggressive breeds list?

I was amazed by this list. It is inaccurate, ie., Corsos are Italian Mastiff, as many of you have noted AND it just isn't reflected in my personal subjective experience. I'm sporting the scars from 28 stitches needed to close my head when I was three years old. I nearly lost my right eye. It was a Border Collie that did that damage, a purebred, fully intact, highly intelligent Border Collie.
I've been treed by Danes, chased by mutts of indeterminate parentage, and had to take alternate routes home from delivering newspapers just to avoid certain psycho pets and parents. That's the point! Crazy and Fearful pet parents make crazy and fearful dogs. All dogs will bite.
Two weeks ago my daughter and her dog were attacked by a golden retriever that was wearing a leash but there was no owner in sight. Bella protected her mom. Rotweiller vs Golden Retriever, guess who won?
The sad part, it looked like the Retriever was set on our Bella just for entertainment. The owner appeared out of a nearby house, but not until his dog was in need of a vet. No apology, just a sneer. And to Bella's credit she let go when her mom told her to. Bailey and I vote Bella to be an Honorary Mastiff!

Geico just lists "mastiff" on their list of dogs to watch for.

Having said that feel free to tell your vet to take a hike. Neutering him isn't going to affect whether he's aggressive or not.

I also have to note that several vets and techs have told me that they worry much more about the Goldens, Labs, and toy breeds biting than any of the supposed "aggressive breeds". They all agreed that the mastiffs and pits and the like will generally either bite or not in a very predictable manner (which makes it easy to manage), where the badly bred and poorly handled Goldens, Labs, and toy breeds can be extremely unpredictable and thus prone to snapping with no warning.

Yeah that makes sense. I'm not going to neuter him at all. Especially since he's so young. I just completely ignore my vet when he talks about it. I honestly didn't think about that though! I know toy breed tend to bite a lot. My friend had a toy australian shepherd he would bite, not nip, I mean BITE your leg if you walked by him wrong, accidently stepped on him, or if he just didn't like you. My friends uncle couldn't even get into the door without being bit.

Oh gosh, go Bella! Some people should not have dogs!

I never imagined anything near this list! I have Nationwide Ins. Their list includes: Pit bulls, pit bull mixes, Dobermans, Rottweiler, Chow, Presa Canario, and any dog trained in bite work I used to own a BM. He was attacked by mix Greatdane/Lab, Old English Bulldog, and a senior Lab. They all were loose he was being walked. The short OEB quickly gave up, the owners came on seen to help for other two. As was mentioned it always has much to do with owner training. I wish I could set paragraphs. I cleared cache no help. I will continue reading to solve this matter. I am here to help in my decision on what breed of dog I am choosing for our family. I had settled on Labrador or another BM. This thread and others

No matter what any list or owners says I still consider the Chichi the most aggressive dog ever. Can you imagine a Chichi at 50lbs or greater? There would be no Pit Bull BSL laws anywhere it would be instant kill in any shelter for the Chichi.

I have owned a few Dachshunds and they are super protective...I had one that bit everyone of my siblings for one reason or another!! my sister reached down to get my keys off the couch (they were beside me and I was asleep) and he got blood from her...my little brother tried to pop him on the butt for peeing on his bed and he got blood...then there was my older brother who got in his face and yelled "bite me stupid" needless to say...he did and got blood!! that last one was well deserved...I don't like people taunting my dogs!! One of my other Dachshunds used to chase deer out of my front yard!! They have "little dog syndrome" LOL
According to my firefighter neighbor, Dachshunds are at the top of the list when it comes to dog bite calls they get.

Min pins too!! My Min was horrible. I actually had to take him to a rescue after he went after my sons face twice completely UNPROVOKED!! It was heart breaking but I could not have my child in danger of my demon dog.

Awe that is so sad...I forgot to mention the little biting machine I had was hit by a car and was on seizure meds when all of this happened. He was on them for a few years before we finally had to put him to sleep...I hated to do it but the vet said he was suffering and it was the best thing to do...his name was JellyBean.

Do you think he was jealous of your son? My 2 babies I currently have are jealous of each other...Corelina is way more jealous because I had her first and Titan is her own son!!! She is constantly walking between us and if he is laying down and i'm petting him she will walk over and step on him so I cant pet him!!
