i should add that thalia loves the flirt pole and understands that she is going for the toy tied to it. Angus doesn't get that and goes for the pvc pipe, which usually results in him completely knocking me over.sent from my iphone using tapatalk

Omg, this is why I get lazy during the rainy season... 5mm of rain per hour... Expected to get over 100mm of rain with this storm and it's super windy.

Today, we've just worked on "sit pretty" which works her core strength. We might go out to toss the ball around... I just have to bundle myself up.

Totally!! It takes a lot of core strength to sit pretty and hold it for any length of time. :D

I can totally sit! (Not so sure about the pretty part, though....)

Made our own out of 1/2 pvc pipe, a rope and tied a high value toy to it. Cost us a few dollars. When I'm home, I'll get a pic of mine. It's seriously nothing fancy.

Did the same thing. 5' pvc 10' rope. Tape. Toy. Knot. Pretty simple.

So far today:

Morning exercise was a total of 26 minutes of fetch on a hill/slope.

1 hour of Rally practice, but that only works her brain, really.

Also worked on her sit pretty.

Noon exercise:33 minutes of frisbee. Some of it was on flat ground and some was on a slope....For some reason, I am no longer able to upload pictures from my laptop. It just keeps saying that the upload failed?

Thalia with her flirt pole. She loves the friggin' thing and goes HARD with it. As you can see, Angus doesn't quite get it. He just jumps at the the person with the toy rather than engaging in tug. He'll play tug with Thalia, but not me. Can't figure out why that is. Toward the end, someone pulled over by our driveway and I get a teensy bit distracted. She almost ripped the thing right out of my hands.

Today's noon and afternoon exercise included:

Approx. 1 hour of fetch and frisbee. Flat ground and slope.

10+ minutes of flirt pole

10 minutes working on sit pretty and crawl, which work core and lateral muscles

Look at her go!!! Ok, I really need to get going here with more physical activity. I want to take it somewhat easy on Lillie, as she's 7 mos old. But she could do sit pretty, running on her own in the park and about a half hour walk or so, as well as some balancing activities. I think I read they shouldn't do the flirt pole at that age, is that right?
Yogi, though, is no longer lean, which he always was, if not well defined, but he's getting downright fat...

I wouldn't let a puppy play with a flirt pole. One wrong turn or twist and you'll be paying for it for a looooong time.

Today while Angus was doing hydrotherapy, I had Thalia working on a peanut ball. I had her sitting pretty while balancing on the ball!!!!! Holy crap, I wish I could have gotten a picture of it, but it took both my hands to do it lol
