Winter is Coming!

It's on at 6 pm here. I prefer to watch it in the dark (not that it's scary), so I'll have to decide whether to watch it right away or wait until a little later.

Based on the Getting to Know You thread, a lot of people here will "get it.".

For those that don't, Game of Thrones season 3 starts tonight. We've been waiting almost 10 months for a new episode.

I could not possibly be more excited! I feel so sorry for my facebook friends that have had to deal with my count down to today. It started at the end of the Season 2 Finale so they've been putting up with it for a while, lol!

Sadly though, I no longer have HBO so I have been frantically searching for someone, anyone really, within 2 hours of my house that is willing to let me come over to watch it. So far, no luck :-(

If I am not able to watch it, I want one of you, or all of you, to pm me every single detail of what happened. I've read all of the books at least twice, but I still want to see how they portray it with the show. I'm counting on you guys, don't let me down :)

Io have 3 tvs that I chose not to have hooked up in this house when I moved (experimenting on how long I can go without daily tv) That being said, I have read every book of "Game of Thrones" published so far, and I own the first 2 seasons on dvd; I just have to wait longer than the rest of you, but I do love this show!!!!

It was fantabulous!!

However, I'm skeptical of Sam's storyline. I feel like they've skipped something (the cause of his nickname), but maybe they'll interject it a little later.

Have you read the books? They have more info, and are a fantastic read !

Yeah, I've read 4.5 of the books, which is why I feel like they've skipped something. Maybe they're still going to show this event I feel like they've skipped, but I think it already should have happened.

That was the very first thing I thought when I watched it! And yes, they did skip something, a MAJOR something. Hopefully they'll add it in later.
I have to be super careful because I watch it with my husband, I've read the books, he hasn't and I have a terrible tendency to spoil things for him.
For example, season one I let slip 3 episodes in who was going to get their head chopped off soon. Killed the whole season for him.
