What to feed a 10 week old bullmastiff puppy

Hello,

A few days ago I picked up my 10 week old bullmastiff puppy. I have tried to do some research on what to feed him but i'm still lost on what to get. I have read that low protein (below 26%) and fat (below 14%) is a must. I have also read that feeding them adult food is good, because of the low protein. I went to a local pet store and they advised me to get the Blue Buffalo large breed puppy food (chicken and brown rice recipe). My puppy likes this food and it has not upset his stomach. My only concern is that the protein is 28%. Should I switch the food to something else? I read that Kirklands Natural Domain for all life stages is good. It has 24% protein. Should I try that one out? Are there any other recommendations?

Thank you in advance!

Disregard the protein levels. You just need to watch the calcium levels or the calcium to phosphorus ratio.
Ideally you want the lowest calcium levels you can get. And if your pup is not allergic to chicken, stick with it cause you will have lots more choices among brands plus chicken flavours have more glucosamine in them which is good for the joints.
Acana, Orijen, Earthborn Holistic, Fromms FirstMate, TOTW and a bunch of others have good grain free options. And if your pup is not allergic to grains either, then its double bonus for you!

Fromm large breed adult has everything you are looking for. This Fromm has the lowest Ca/Phos ratio than any of the foods I've used.

I never tried this food. I did feed Fromm adult before, but my pup had issues with all kibble he ate so I really can't tell you much. I'm switching back to Fromm once the bag of TOTW runs out.

I feed Earthborn Holistics Meadow Feast to my EM puppy. It's grain free and the calcium/phosphorus levels are what you want for a puppy. Dog Food Advisor was very useful for me when I was trying to choose a food. They have an article about feeding giant breed puppies and there's a calculator where you enter the calcium, phosphorus, and calories and it will calculate if the levels are appropriate for a puppy.

I ended up feeding my puppy FROMM large breed puppy food and he loves it. His stool used to be loose with the previous food I had him on (blue bufffalo) and using FROMM has returned his stool back to normal. Thank you all who responded with your comments.
