I am working from my parents house today & brought Duchess to play....well she is having a grand ole time running & playing. I hope she's worn out.

Just look at that big mug!

She's so pretty! I wanted a female as well, but hubby dearest (and testosterone) wanted a male - not that I mind! Give me all!

That's ok!! My next dog will be a male.....I think!

My next one is definitely male - hubby is dead set against neutering (I had a pair of hamsters earlier, neutered the male, hubby still brings it up!). I'm thinking a boxer maybe - the place we stay in can't support another mastiff :( I've been told to avoid getting a territory protecting/guarding type of dog. Your thoughts?

If you're around a lot of people or the area you live in is pretty heavily populated then I would probably stay away from a dog like a Fila. I would think you could be ok with another BM or maybe even a CC. I want a Corso but my current living situation will not be ideal for a Corso. I'd like to have a more stable & taller fence & a little bit bigger house. Plus I don't think my car could handle 2 giant dogs. Even if Duchess is small for an EM.

CC's are not available in India. In fact, it took me a long time to find a BM as well! I really want a NM, but I know that the house we live is too small for two mastiffs :(. India by default is heavily populated, but the area I'm in, thankfully, is not that resident heavy :)

I live in Texas & we see some awful summers so I feel your pain. Can't imagine how hot it gets over there!!
