Tibetan mastiff grooming

My 11 moths girls paws are pretty hairy and are making a mess of the house when they are wet. Has anyone groomed the bottom of their dogs paws?

My Irish Setter x has hairy feet and I do trim the hair because it can collect the snow really easy and his feet will become packed with ice if I don't.

I did because she slips on one of our floors if not.
