Well hopefully they have learned something from the ban being in Ontario! And will put stronger penalties in place for people who own any breed of dog that behaves in a dangerous manner not just Pitbulls. :(

So sad for those responsible owners with well bred and appropriately trained dogs.. It is those dogs that should be able to have a part in carrying on the line. Byb, irresponsible breeding practices, bad owners, and the media are going to destroy this breed. As the owner of an APBT I understand the concerns with aggressive dogs. However, those dogs that were poorly bred, poorly trained, and poorly socialized should not be representative of the breed as a whole. I don't think breed bans are the answer. Nor do I think responsible owners should pay for the mistakes of idiots that bred for and trained for aggression. There are few breeds of dog, if any, that wouldn't display some form of aggression when these circumstances are what they have been born into.

“We are neutral but unafraid” is the correct temperament for an APBT toward other dogs, and “We know of no stranger and all are our friends” sums up the correct temperament for an APBT toward humans. They truly are not a bad breed. There are no bad dogs, just bad breeders and bad owners who unfortunately have become representative of an entire breed. It makes me sad.

I have no idea how to attach a picture in here.. our boy is pictured in my profile.
