Great photos

I have one question on your first two photos you are pulling the leash and leading the dog with your right hand, is this something your trainer has you doing?

Thanks! Yes it is. That is an old pic, she is off my hand now. My trainer is Debbie Zappia, she's been on the world team in IPO several times. I LOVE her!! She has helped me a tremendous amount with my girl. Basically what I do with my hands is a stimulating pop to remind her to keep her head up, it has worked very well, Cianna has a gorgeous heel.

That's awesome .. Just asking bc I have seen folks do that an hands become a handy cap for the dog.

I've heard that from others to. Everyone has a different method, and they all work. I'm the only one on all of the Corso working groups I am on that use this method. My posts usually cause a lot of controversy, but it worked for me. And now Cianna heels with out the pops. I don't know the exact reason for this, but Debbie always has a method to her madness =) lol. I do have some videos of her obedience! Old bitework videos to, I am getting her back into bitework in the spring.

Sweet please share the videos

I also use the pops and many I know do too ... I was more speaking about your left hand not the leash.
But I only start using it when the dog knows the commands .. I am a big marker trainer with my students and club. We are not a Schutzhund club but a soon to be PSA club.
I am personally in two other clubs here 1 a SchH & 2 a Mondio. I'm in the SchH club bc. I decoy for them and I love doing the Obedience in SchH & the Mondio club I am learning to decoy for and training my dogs to do Mondio bc I love the sport. My soon to be PSA club I also decoy. Kind of sucks for me though bc everyone gets worked but my dogs. So our SchH decoy will do some of the scenarios for me but still not the same.

Do you like any of the other protection sports?

Ohhh okay gotchya! Deb has you start it pretty early. Cianna had good muscle memory by the time I started the pops, but I don't know that she knew the command word though. Wow your a busy lady! Very cool! But that is tough though, not having a decoy for your dog's. I am not too familiar with any of the other protection sports. I am a complete newby, 23, on my first personal dog. I have a lot of experience with guardian and mastiff breeds, working for a pet trainer, but not with dog sport. From what I have seen, I'm not really into the ring sports, but I really like PSA, and am interested in possibly a PDC with Cianna after her IPO 3. If not with her, another dog someday. I will post some vids, some are btter then others, some are old, some have mistakes on my part. Not so much looking for critique, I know we have a long way to go, I know being a new handler I've made some mistakes! But Cianna and I are enjoying every minute of it, and I am definitely excited to get out Bh this June, and getting our CD, and maybe our RN in the summer or fall.

I made a mistake in this one, on her finish, I have since started teaching her in a different way. I will post a video of Debbie Zappia teaching us the finish
