Police take 40 mins to show up here, my dogs could get things under control in about 3 seconds lol best protection EVER!!

I was thinking of your security system today when I read an article about how ranchers in Texas have been having to deal with really aggressive illegals breaking in their homes and stealing guns, trashing the place, etc.

All the cowboys need are a couple of Filas, really. Problem solved. :)

The pictures of your dogs are always gorgeous! I've seen on here before that you've raised filas for quite a while. How did you get in to this particular breed(I'd never even heard of them until this forum!) and have you ever had any other mastiff breed?

Never had a mastiff before this breed, i raised pit bulls for 12 years before my first fila. I went to a ADBA show in the states with my friend and we stayed at her friends place and she had recently got a fila from Eshabeta , it was an older female. Anyway when we pulled up to her place this huge brindle beast came barreling at the fence snarling and barking and growling. She put her away and we came in and then she let her out, thee most intimidating dog i had ever seen, she just came over and sniffed us and growled then went and layed down and just watch us from across the room. I just couldnt believe anyone would own a dog like this lol, so after that weekend i did a bit of research on them we were looking to get a guard type dog for protection and the filas sort of fit the bill , couldnt find much as the internet was not invented yet hahahaha, so it was all magazines and little blurbs in books. So i got in touch with Dawna and she sent me a whole bunch of info and she didnt have pups at the time but her friend did, so off i went to get my first fila and have never thought about another breed since. When you have a strong bond with a fila, they look at you like you hung the moon and no other breed has that strong loyalty and love for their owner.
