Alright my decorative people. Where can I get some rugs at a decent price. There's no way I'm forking over $300 for a rug. Checking, amazon, craiglist, ebay, Walmart, lowes, etc. I need something at least 8x10.

BUilding 19 is local to MA and NH but do you have anything similer down there? They buy up close outs, 2nds, and stuff from "damaged warehouses", get rid of the stuff thats actually damaged, and sell the rest. I stocked my entire first apartment via them and I missed them terribly when we started trying to buy stuff for the house....

Check Target...I have gotten some great rugs from them for very good prices. Also Bed, Bath, and Beyond...with one of their 20% off coupons....Online, try overstock.com, and today is the last day, but Macys is having a great sale!!

I would have a go with Target as well. Over the last few years they have really upgraded their merchandise -- but still at low/reasonable prices. Recently I saw some rugs I loved the looks of there.

Do you have a discount flooring store near you? I found one on kijiji and I bought a beautiful 8 x 5 carpet for only $40 at it. They had some nice 12 x12 for 79. I also found carpet on kijiji for 50 bucks. Brand new build, the guy decided he wanted hardwood so they pulled the carpet out intact with the padding. Managed to get two large pieces that were big enough to carpet two rooms in my basement without having to piece it together.

Do you have T.J.Max or Homeplace? I'm in NC, so was thinking you might also have these-have gotten some great deals in there before.

Ditto. Home goods has some great deals on rugs. I saw a 8x10 for $149. Just depends on what you're looking for. When I move I'm either going with a cream or tan colored shag or a cow hide as my decor is western-ish.

Costco has been carrying indoor/outdoor rugs for the last couple of years. They hold up well. We got the smaller size, but they have a number of 8x10's for $165 online (S&H included).
Ditto the TJ Max or Ross. We also have a local "Fred Meyer" that has some good prices, and Target or Walmart would be my next stops.
We have one rug from Carpet Liquidators, they might have some good deals, too.

Wow thanks guys, I never even thought of half of these places. Luckily I'm not too far out in sticks to have easy access to home shopping. lol. I saw something I REALLY liked at walmart and would match the living area....but...it was online but I want to see it first.

Ruth, not sure if we have that or not.

Sadies Mom not that I know of, to be honest never heard of the store. Total tom boy....lol.

Northern I'll have to check with my co-workers, I still don't know much about this area. There's a place called "The Dump" but the only store I know of is at least 1 and 30 minutes away.

Dennasmom Carpet Liquidators is another good one I heard about but like the store Northern Mentioned its quite the travel.

It does not look like it :( I got an 8x10 area rug (nothing fancy) for $80.00. I call it disposable rugs, if I can get a year out of them, I am happy. And since they are not that expensive, if I get bored with the decor, I just get a new rug.

I needed an area carpet for my dogs room and I got one off Kijiji for like 15 bucks, it was brand new, still with the plastic on it and it was 16x8 I think or something there about. Guy bought it and his wife decided half way through remodel that she needed to change all the colours so he sold it for cheap out of spite cause his wife messed up his budget lol.
