We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

So, we're ready to start planning the next addition to our family. Probably in a year(ish), maybe two. We're not rushing anything. This time around we want to ask breeders if they have any previous puppy buyers that we can speak with. We want to know from someone else's point of view what we can expect from whichever breeder(s) after we have narrowed the list down. Is that something that breeders take offence with? How do we even ask that without offending them? I don't think anybody we spoke with prior to making our decision the first time even offered that kind of thing. Likely part of the reason we never thought to ask. I just want us to be better prepared for the next round and that means asking questions we didn't think of as first timers. Hopefully without upsetting anyone :s

Are their facebook pages or Mastiff forums like this one that you can share the breeders and ask those with personal experience with the breeders in question to PM you their experiences. You can also ask the breeder for some references as well to get a full rounded view.

Oh, I'll probably ask here when we feel like we're getting closer. There are a couple with fb pages that we've had a look at and a couple of other websites separate from fb. Some have me going "Nope, not in a million years" others are being bookmarked for later.
Are breeders expecting potential puppy buyers to straight out ask for references or do they just sort of have a list they give someone? OR, are they kind of expecting potential puppy buyers to ask their previous buyers on their own and just be snoopy?
And I'm sitting here now saying to myself "This is almost a silly question because now that I've actually asked it I know the answer" Lol. I'll just walk away from someone who gets upset if I ask for a reference because that says to me there's Maybe something to hide. With our first puppy adventure we got our girl from a breeder's very first litter so there weren't puppy owners from earlier litters we could ask about things anyway.
